Have a few questions on reception. I have an LG L1400 and whenever I go into a store I get either little to none or no reception while in the store. I used to get full bar service on my former provider (not mentioning that company). I'm not knocking Cingular because I love the service that I have received from them since being a customer for 2 weeks now. 1. Could it just be that LG's have lousy reception ...

Curious, if one buys a phone directly from a manufacture that is hosted by Cingular, could that phone be automatically be used on the Cingular network by the customer simply installing their SIM card from their old phone, or is there something else that has to happen before they can do this? Just curious... :?

Question to any Cingular rep or those who can answer it. When a particular model's price drops such as the 2yr contract price, does it affects the price without a contract? Does that price too drop? Just curious....

Does anyone have information on the following phones while driving and wearing a headset: Motorola V400, Motorola V551, Nokia 6230, Samsung e317, and SE T637. For example: you're driving along in your car an incoming call comes through and you hear the ringtone/ringer through your headset). Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Been reading and searching through these forums for awhile. Have noticed some talk alot about phones being sold locked or sold unlocked. Can anyone sorta sum it up all in a nutshell as to what locked or unlocked means? I'm clueless.... :?

First off, I have an LG L1400 flip with a 64K SIM card. Something I have begun to notice is that when I power off and power it back on for like a brief second after the log on screen this message appears: "Message SIM memory full." Is it really full, or is it just allowing the SIM card to register with my phone? I have downloaded a few ringtones, a couple wallpapers and only have 42 contacts in my ...

Clarification on my post.... I'm asking when receiving an incoming call, and the headset is plugged into the phone, will the ringtone come through the headset so you'll know when someone is calling you?

Here I sit waiting for the FedEx man. :wink: Yesterday morning I ordered online the LG L1400 phone for $29.99, got the Nation Plan 850 minutes for $59.99, added MEdia Works for $19.99, and opted for fast shipping of $14.95. Okay everyone, Cingular has me hooked. My question now is, to flip or not to flip? :? Which is better flip phones or bar phones and of each which are better flip models and better bar models? Thanks in advance for any help. 8)

Went to the Cingular store here in Johnson City, TN yesterday. They only had about 8 maybe 9 phones (not that big of a selections if you're wanting a camera phone). So I decided to stop in at the Cingular store in Greeneville, TN on my way to work this morning. OMG, they had like a slew of cute, sleek, and working model phones. Hate those plastic non functional models. Now the hard part hits me. ...

so do they add the activation fee and pro-rated charges to ur bill. well i guess they would with the prorated charges but could you pay the activation fee at the time of activation?
