Re: Battery Life - Real Life experiences

Again... My question was not "how do specs influence battery life". I wanted real world thoughts and experience, specs don't always equal great performance.

You're a moron. I read all 6 reviews and all they did was what you did...repeat about a specs. I can google how big the battery is. My question was not, "what ridiculously named OS version is this phone running". Yet that was one of the first things you commented on. Followed by the screen and processor. Again, I didn't ask for a lesson in phone power ratings. Why dont YOU go read the ...

Battery Life - Real Life experiences

Anyone have real life battery experiences? I am VERY curious about this phone, but none of the reviews really talk about battery life. Thoughts out there anyone??

Re: Rezound > Nexus
Dec 16, 2011, 12:20 PM
in the Samsung Galaxy Nexus (LTE) forum

Android is all about what OS version you can or want to run. In my opinion having a stock 4.0 experience is going to have a HUGE benefit over the life of the phone. I am not knocking the rezound, but all things considered...this phone has a better design, comparable specs (some better, some worse), and is completely designed to work with ice cream sandwich (no physical buttons). Manufacturers should make phones...not skins for operating systems. ...

It was just a bad post. What exactly were you trying to say? Just came off as whining about notification center...which has been done enough since the iOS announcement in the spring. My bad if I was a little harsh.

Well its pretty much a worthless comment that has been beaten to death...so put it whereever. I doubt anyone will care. Android copies iOS, iOS copies Android. This is how the game is going to work for the forseeable future. Get over it, and use what works best for you. Chris

No insider, just common sense. why would verizon want the charge, SGS2, and the Nexus Prime. They all occupy the same target market. And verizon cant release a statement saying "we passed because we are getting something better in a month" haha

Because they are getting the Nexus Prime in October which is basically an SGS2 with a pure google experience, plus they have the charge. Too many phones that occupy the same market

Why are you complaining about paying $249. Uggggghhhh People kill me sometimes. Its arguably the best Android phone on the best network in the country. It's a very fair price and I believe you get a 32gb sd card which pits this phone directly against the 32gb iphone (which is $299) $249 is more than fair for this phone with its feature set.

whats worse? Tethering for free using your data package that is already paid for? OR A company like ATT essentially double dipping and trying to control your right to tether. Data is data, whether you are tethering or looking at webpages it doesn't matter. Cell phone companies need to stop nickel and diming consumers and do whats right. It costs ATT no substantial amount of money to allow for tethering. Charge people for a bucket of data ...

A monthly fee and the app would be DOA. No messenging service is worth $4 a month. Charge $5-10 one time and be done with it.

Sorry for coming off harsh, but I just feel that your opinion is short sighted. We have options in anything we buy. You could argue there is no reason to buy a car over 20K because all cars under 20K can do the job. This world is about options and choice. Yeah, you can do everything with android you can with blackberry, but thats not what everyone wants. Like I said, I have used android extensively and I ...

God I hate people like you.... Just because YOU don't see the value in a blackberry, maybe someone else does. I have used Android and iOS and for my needs a blackberry is more efficient and just plain gets the job done. And the blackberry keyboard still blows away anything ever released on any touchscreen device. Its not all about web browsing and a ton of apps. Chris

Sorry for the late reply, I was on vaca for the week :) Im still debating on what I want to do, I think I def want the phone, but im not sure if I want to get it day one. Part of me wants to wait for some early reviews on the cdma version. I dont think stock outs will be a huge problem either.

I thought the droid Inc wasnt that great....to each their own I guess. Im actually not to thrilled with the way that google has let other companies butcher their OS. Its just frustrating to me and has led me to stay with Blackberry, but after using an ipad pretty extensively I think the iphone might work for my needs. I also love the idea of not having any bloatware or uneeded software. All of the stuff that VZW puts ...

The Droid Pro is a nice phone and the keyboard is very easy to get used to. Im still using my BB Bold 9650, but the Droid Pro has definitely caught my eye. I wish Blackberry would STOP doing exclusivity deals with these carriers. It frustrates customers and hurts their market penetration. Good luck with your choice! -Chris

Yeah, its ridiculous. Blackberry will be around for years to come. And with the QNX operating system and dual core processors, the future is definitely bright for RIM. Lets just hope they can product some exciting hardware!

I see no one really answered your question. Mostly it was a bunch of people saying why BB is going to fail...Well I am a berry user as well, and BB isn't going anywhere and they are still a very powerful company. There are no immediate upcoming devices slated for vzw. I don't think you will see a cdma version of the torch anytime soon either. But I wouldnt be shocked if verizon got a version of ...

Blackberries will never be "out". They had one of their best quarters ever last quarter and should have a solid 2011 with the BB Playbook arriving. Droid is taking over in the consumer space, but the business world still runs on blackberries and that business is secure for the time being. BB will always be around and available. Just might get overshawdowed by other offerings in the coming years.

in the BlackBerry Style 9670 forum

Nice troll posts...way to contribute. BB is doing just fine and with the playbook on the horizon the future is bright. BB 6 wasnt the complete overhaul that people were looking for, but it added some much needed features. People use blackberries for a specific reason, and just because YOU dont want one, doesnt mean that they dont meet the needs of millions. I have used android at length and I still prefer blackberry. to each their own.

I think the incredible is vastly overrated as far as high end phones go. I used it for a month and go so fed up with it that I went back to my blackberry. I have never used the Fascinate, so its tough to compare. I have used a droid X and I thought it was much improved over the incredible.

You need to go with what fits your needs. There is no OS that is best for everyone. The best thing you can do is research your options and play around with all of the finalist in the store. When it comes down to it, you are the one that has to use the phone everyday, not people on a forum. One of the things I can tell you to do, is to make of ...

huh??? Really??? People want the iphone because it has 300000 apps and the phone itself is very easy to use. Plus it syncs flawlessly with apple services and products. Also, the multimedia functions are also very good. Voice and data at the same time is just a bonus IMO.

It wont really put a big dent in sales. And LTE is waaaay to far off for the masses. LTE wont be true major player till late 2011 when more markets are announced and go online. Verizon will sell millions of units even without LTE and simultaneous voice/data. They just need to get the phone out asap!

Re: HTC Incredible

the speaker is far from "superb". I used my speakerphone 8-10 times a day and it was horrid on the incredible. Its a half duplex speakerphone which makes it virtually unusable for any serious conversations. Battery life could be better depending on the user. I didnt play around on the phone too much, but typically by 1-2pm is was toast. These were just my experiences....I guess others could be different.

No need to rush this release and my guess is that they will announce the verizon iphone in Jan or Feb, possibly with the new iPad. Apple and Verizon are two very successful companies. I trust that they know what they are doing. And quite frankly the iphone wont need "holiday" sales to fly off the shelves. They will sell a million in the first 2 weeks regardless of when it comes out. JUST GET IT RIGHT VERIZON/APPLE!!!

I don't why anyone likes this phone. I found it completely unusable. -Speakerphone is a complete fail and barely works. -Battery life is ridiculously low, making it tough to use on a day-to-day basis. -Phone always felt very cheap to me for some reason. Too much plastic. I wouldn't take this phone if you paid me! Chris

Re: Verizon to sell iPads with MiFis
Oct 14, 2010, 5:03 PM

I like the idea of the "big bucket" approach for multiple devices or family plans. I just know the consumer is gonna end up getting screwed over the next few years as cell companies try to squeeze every last dime out of us.

I would be fine with the end of subsidies, if the plans were lowered. I just wish they would lower monthly plan rates if you purchase your own phone. There are a lot of potential changes that could be made, but as it stands now, these american cell companies have waaaaaay too much power and control. Chris
