I don't have that problem. I've had other quirky problems though, like the browser not remembering passwords, or the bluetooth not hooking up. Then I reboot the phone, and it works fine after that.

The box stretches bigger, you have to drag it with your finger. It is a specific LxW ratio though.

I've got a Droid 2. There is an Email "Read options" where you can set text size from Smallest, Small, Normal, Big, and Biggest. I'm on "Biggest"... :paranoid: cause I've got old eyes...

Imagio special upgrade
Aug 11, 2010, 6:32 PM
in the Verizon forum

I called Verizon a few days ago, to fix something on my BB, and during the convo, they told me about a current special upgrade for the Imagio even though it wasn't time to upgrade that phone yet. I told them, "Wow, that's good, cause, my hubby hates his Imagio!" So I'm going to upgrade it to a Droid 2, then exchange phones with my hubby... So why is Verizon replacing Imagio's? Could it ...

 I loved you very much... but you've been replaced... by a Chocolate 3 (which is actually a Chocolate 4, cause the 8600 was actually a flip Chocolate, too...)

Does the 8350 require the NW plan? If you're not already on it, then I'd say that's the one thing that might cause pause. That's the one thing I'm a bit pissed at... I had to up my plan just to get this phone. Now all my data is billable, including just browsing for samples. I didn't have to pay for my phone (cause I qualified for the new every 2 discount), but to me, ...

Re: Can you upload your own songs onto the Chocolate??
Aug 13, 2008, 11:18 PM
in the LG Chocolate 3 VX-8560 forum

yes you can. I've sync'd songs I have on my computer, using Windows Media Player. The charger doubles as a data cable, so you don't have to buy one separately, either.

Re: Too LOUD!!!
Aug 12, 2008, 9:03 PM
in the LG Chocolate 3 VX-8560 forum

So these are the same ringtones transfered from your old phone? mp3 tones? I remember buying some ringtones that were recorded too loud to begin with. I've notice my phone ringing isn't loud, but the same ringtone used as my alarm clock is louder than it use to be. So maybe it is an internal setting in the phone. Hope your visit to Verizon is fruitful...

Re: Same as 8600?
Aug 12, 2008, 8:48 PM
in the LG Chocolate 3 VX-8560 forum

The Dare is really nice.. I'll give you that. But I like flip phones, cause I like having the keys covered. I wish the 8560 didn't have the dial on the front, like I didn't like the red touch screen arrows on the 8600 either. The Dare was what got me to look at the phones again... but it was the 8560 that caught my fancy. Plus it's a $100 cheaper... which made it FREE!!!! That ...

Converting .3g2 vids to other formats
Aug 12, 2008, 2:51 AM
in the LG Chocolate 3 VX-8560 forum

So, on my VX8600 I used to be able to use the freeware, Super, to convert vids to .avi's. I really like the new larger sized vids on the VX8560 (infact, would be cool if we could get them even larger on future phones.. hint, hint)... but I've been unable to convert my vid successfully. I can get the video, but I can't get the audio coverted right. Has anyone else converted their 8560 vids? What program ...

Yeah, I guess that is kinda funny, isn't it? When the 8600 came out there were complaints that the speaker phone wasn't loud enough. So I guess LG took it to heart and fixed it...

Ok, you know what... my alarm is too loud. My phonecall ringtone volume is fine. I'm going to say it's probably a setting somewhere. My last phone was an LG VX8600, and I'm using the same ringtones and alarm ringtone, too.

No I haven't had any crashing problems. I do have a place holder for one of my vids (already on the microSD card from my VX8600) but the new vids all work fine. Maybe you did get a lemon?

Really? Is that how it works? Not only do we pay for the cost of the Get It Now game, but we're charged for download MB's as well? Does that apply to VCast music download MB's too? This is making me grumpy... :x

Re: Trouble with BitPim on the Chocolate 3
Aug 7, 2008, 4:25 AM
in the LG Chocolate 3 VX-8560 forum

BitPim (the new beta one) worked fine for me. It recognized both my old 8600 and my new 8560, and I was able to transfer all my old contacts and ringers from the old phone, to the computer, and then to the new phone. I didn't transfer old messages though. I want to start with a clean inbox.

Re: Same as 8600?
Aug 7, 2008, 4:16 AM
in the LG Chocolate 3 VX-8560 forum

It's very similar, which is why I just got it... cause I love my dying 8600. I just took the microSD card out of my old phone and stuck it into my new phone, and the photos, vids and music all work... except for the purchased VCast music... that makes me mad... I hate copy protection. The battery's not the same. The charger is not the same. It's slightly thicker. The speaker grill goes right across ...

Jeez, it never occurred to me that the phone looked masculine... To pretty it up, just use flowers for your wallpapers.. I'm just kidding... I'm a girl.. I love this phone. Yes, the speakerphone volume sucks. It's strange cause the ring and mp3 volumes are fine. So I don't use the speakerphone, I use a bluetooth headset. I don't like the chocolate cause it's a slider. I prefer my the buttons under a flip. Even the ...

Re: White chocolate or 8600?
Jan 7, 2007, 7:20 PM
in the LG VX-8600 / AX-8600 forum

I guess, if you want a white phone, you get the white chocolate, or if you want a black phone you get the 8600... I heard the features for both phones are very similar. I like flip phones so I got the 8600. It has a few keys on the outside (for the mp3 player), and they get annoying sometimes... cause they're sooo sensitive. The chocolate has more keys on the outside, so, I'd imagine I'd be more ...

No I don't have any of these issues, but if it does have a message in the phone, it does sound like it was used before. If you're not comfortable with it, take it back and get it exchanged.

Happy to report, that while I still couldn't transfer my bitpim uploaded songs from the phone to the card, It seems like I was able to delete them, and my phone has memory available again. whew... phone now shows 13.1mb used, 10.5mb available (it used to say 0mb available) card says 128.7mb used, 1856.2mb available. Did I tell you guys.. I love this phone?

To clarify, I can drop it in the folder fine, and VCast can see it. It just won't play it.

Re: MP3's
Dec 20, 2006, 3:35 PM
in the LG VX-8600 / AX-8600 forum

I tried dropping a music file I bought from Walmart.com. It's protected. The VCast music player searches for the license, can't find it, then won't play it. Now what do I do? Protected songs suck.

dunno about the 8300's screen size but I got this about the 8600's, from another forum: Wallpaper sizes: inside: 176x184 outside: 128x142 I really love my phone, but then again, I only paid $29, cause obviously, I kept my last phone for 2 years, so maybe I'm just easy to please...

But when I try to create a pix msg, it doesn't allow me to attach a ringtone, it only allows text, pix, or sounds. Ringtones are a different catagory, and not one of the options. She has the Nokia 6215i, not sure about how her phone accepts new ringtones, either.
