I am excited. I love my QD, although I'll admit, the games got old. I love my emulators that I got for it though. I think it would be awesome if they came out with gaming devices with similar button config to the current phone while adding Edge or 3G. The lack of faster net and a pretty weak screen is all that I didn't like about the original.

What are they thinking?

Ok, so we have a really expensive V-Cast phone with a megapixel camera (not sure how useful due to limited connectivity options). There is no bluetooth to transfer the images to a pc. There is no memory card option to hold the unavoidably larger pictures that a megapixel phone brings with it and with only 4mb of onboard memory it is going to frustrate many customers. I wonder why samsung has been avoiding bluetooth and memory cards. They still ...

I agree. I just started selling Verizon (I used to sell Cingular and TMobile) and I really miss having Series 60 phones to show off. They are such great devices and I too hope that Verizon gets this one, though I guess I'm kind of partial. I've got and Ngage QD right now and it is by far the best phone I've ever had, and I've had quite a few.

I wonder if this means that there is going to be an interpreter or if it will only run precompiled scripts. An interpreter would be awesome because then you could make quick apps wherever you were for whatever need arrise. Worked great on my Zaurus and I hope it's as useful as it should be.

Metro PCS is on to something. Has anyone taken a look at their plans? I know they don't have expansive coverage over the entire us but their plans are so good that people can use them as a home phone, if they get LA & Houston they will really have a huge increase in the population they cover.

I'm pretty sure the frame rate difference has something to do with how the video is delivered to the phone as well as the network speed. It mentioned that with the Motos it's viewed via a Java app. With the Nokia it is viewed via the streaming video support which the motos don't have.

I sell Cingular so that's a great idea! :D Get the V551, it rocks. It doesn't have a megapixel camera but if that's what you want get the Siemens S66. They both have bluetooth.

A good use of bluetooth is to tether the phone to a laptop to access the internet. I've never been a big Verizon fan but I think that it's getting pretty ridiculous that a company can be sued when the customers make incorrect assumptions. I've run into the problem when trying to exchange data from a cingular phone to a verizon phone over bluetooth so I agree, it makes the bluetooth less useful, but is it really grounds for ...

Has anyone had any luck finding some software that will generate an unlock code for this phone? (or any Moto for that matter)

PS: I'm a phone geek that does get laid so I'm a lot less likely to lose it over someone else just not knowing something.

Well said PRTHUG, I was trying to think of a nice way to put that and I couldn't have said it better myself. GSM is the global standard for cell phones. CDMA is used pretty much only in North America. They are just two different methods that are used to encode the voice and data over the wireless network. That's why you can say it looks like a Verizon phone because their phones are made specifically for them as ...
