Your analogy is really not comparable.
Your listing is pretty much what people are looking for (which T-mobile does excellent at). Furthermore, the topic at hand here is not that the T-mobile phone works everywhere, but rather than T-mobile is being upfront about coverage they don't have.
Rant and rave about carriers like Verizon who have service in a lot of areas; their service (relating to customers) is terrible. Customers can now see upfront if their phone will work with T-mobile ...

The fact is T-mobile realizes they have problems and are upfront about them.
This also shows that the company is investing in LONG TERM fixes (increasing the network).
If you elaborated on topics a little more you'd understand; spectrum is really holding the company back at this point more than anything.
The ratings have been displayed. T-mobile was ranked #1 for overall getting what you paid for.

NOW they do. Before the merger, your comment is pretty histerical.
Even so, if Cingular plans on handling things as they have in the past, I doubt this phone will work properly nor will they handle problems properly. I closely watched the agreement with T-mobile which was a disaster for T-mobile subscriber sin California. Cingular got the better deal by getting a customer base in NYC as T-mobile got Cali and they got NY was the agreement. They dealt ...
