i like that one better. hopefully they fixed some of the problems that one had though. i came very close to getting that phone but i didnt have the money to get it, but this "remake" makes me want to get it

well, kinda hard to compare these. the K1 looks amazing, but has no music or 3G. the A707 looks above average, but has 3G, and a music player.
i'd say the sync if you are at least somewhat involved in the extras that the phone and the carrier give you. not to mention the sync is released, and is only $50 right now. knowing cingular and moto, the k1 will prolly be around $200

ok...so ive had my 5550 since christmas(this christmas, so its still in the one year thing) and ive already replaced it once. but now...my screen is really starting to mess up. before it was a black/white screen here and there, but now i cant even turn on my phone w/o seeing the black screen of death. ive tried restarting it...calling it...nothing works. we've only got mayb 3-5 months left of alltel...do u think i should get a different phone...or ...

ok...i dont know where this should be...so i guess ill post it in different sections. ok...i was trying to get some ringtones, and when i went to put them on my phone...my phone restarts. now i cant send anything to my phone now. i dont know if this is a bitpim problem...or a 5550 problem. i installed the newest bitpim (7.24?), but the problem came up...so i uninstalled that...and installed the version before that (that worked properly). any help?

they have to "test" phones...thus them not coming out til around 6-12 months later..when no one really likes them

yea...my friend has a phone just like this from nokia (not sure if its the same or not though). if that is to come to alltel...it prolly wont come for at least 6 months. cause they always have to "test" the phone. i think they just get the phone at a cheaper price if they wait til almost no one likes it.

i thought i saw on here not too long ago that verizon and alltel were going to merge like att and cingular did. wut happened? i think they should really join. they would have the biggest network. they already use each other's towers for roaming...but use cdma, and both use about the same phones. i really hope they do join...that would be great

screen dies out i think, and audio is off or something. look on howard cui (or wuteva its called. its in the link section), get on their forums and do a search, youll see wut im talking about. exactly wut phones do u know? i know the v710, but i dont like that too much

ok....im getting a new phone hopefully soon, and i know i wont be able to get the v710 or wuteva it is, so im stuck between these two. both have major ups and downs.
from wut i hear, the 5450 w/ alltel wont let u put wallpapers, and ringtones on ur phone w/o text messaging, and requires more time to mod
and the 5550 is on "mini re-call" for problems w/ the screen or something like that. and the color screen ...

yea...ive been looking into the 5450 and the 5550. after doing alot of research, i have found that the 5550 is on recall for oled messing up, and poor reception. i think u can still get the red on in a local alltel store...but im not sure. so im pretty sure im getting the 5450

well...thats the thing, i actually saw it, and i didnt think it was really WHITE. i thought it was like a cream kinda color...but its not. and i dont even know if im getting the 5550 now.
