Will they be carrying insurance?

Re: "What does this mean for customers?"

in the Article: Cingular Merger Final forum

Yes both carriers use lock\line, LLC as their insurance administrator. I can tell you that within lock\line there are many changes taking place from the Cingular/AT&T merger. Cingular used to be store-fulfilled (meaning that the claim was filed and then an electronic authorization was sent to the store where you would then pay the deduc and there you were). They have now transitioned to direct-fulfillment (the claim is filed and then the deduc is charged to the bill and the phone ...

Actually missed calls are displayed. I've had the v300 for about 1 yr. The received calls also show missed calls. You will notice that there is a check next to some #s and not next to others. The ones that do not have a check next to them are the missed calls. Kinda confusing but ya get used to it.

Well in lock\line's policy it does state in: Duties in the Event of a Loss that you MAY be required to get a Police Report.

:) I also a agree that it is pretty far-fetched. BUT one could change technologies or offer a seperate type of tech for a diff clientele. 8O I mean think of the profitability in offering BOTH a CDMA AND GSM service. Altho your phones would not work between techs it would give them a tactical advantage in so much as to access to new services. :D

Re: Phone Book entries for SIM AND Phone?

in the Motorola V300 forum

I have tried everything and nothing seems to work. It only shows the option of setting to primary from the phone entries but they still show all of my sim entries... I want to keep them on the phone b/c of ringer ID but I don't want to erase the names on my card either.

Phone Book entries for SIM AND Phone?
Mar 11, 2004, 9:54 PM
in the Motorola V300 forum

Quick question: When I access my phone book I show 2 of each entry. 1 for the phone's memory and 1 for the SIM, is there anyway to show ONLY the Phones? I know my v60g was similar but it didn't show BOTH at the same time.... Any suggestions? Larry

Building your own cellular?!

I was reading an article on some website about people who wanted to build their own cell phones and such. Is that possible? I don't mean so much as in "can it be done?"... Because I am sure that if one has access to the various parts that they could BUT are there rules about such things? Do they HAVE to be regulated? If anyone has any info please respond. Larry

:) I proactively use BOTH services and although I have been with T-Mobile longer I really don't have a problem with either carrier. I had some issues with the 5500 and returned it but with my 8100 I am doing ok. With TMobile I use the t300 AND the 3390 and have not really had many issues there either. Well, when they changed from VStream to TMobile I didn't get a billing statement for about 4-5 mos but I would hardly ...

My best advice would be to post on the Cingular forum. Have you done so? On here you have your Sprint Supporters and Sprint Haters so I am sure you will get less technical info and more carrier-bashing. If I had some experience with Cingular I would be glad to help but I don't unfortunately. Good luck though. Larry

I have looked at the user reviews for the t300 and was wondering how many people who are still phonescoop useres have had any probs... Specifically I am having to wait a long time to connect. And often times it does not even connect then and I have to re-dial 3, 4 or 5 times. I live in kansas City, MO so I know that the TMobile service is spotty at best in some area but there is a tower not ...

Frequencies Used in Veneuzuela?

Used to live in Venezuela for a LONG time but I don't remember which frequencies they used. It seems like around the Caracas area they had limited GSM and then for the remainder of the country it was primarily TDMA or CDMA (I can't remember at the moment). Anybody have any info??? Thanks. Larry

Mine does that too. Using Windows 2000 and IE 5.5 at work and it does this. But when I am at home: XP with IE 6.0 I also have this problem.

Which phone do you have now? Is this the first phone you have had with TMobile? If so, it could be the service area and not the phn.

Hitachi p300
Dec 5, 2003, 9:29 PM

I am kinda new to the whole Sprint cell phone thing, can anyone tell me how they like the p300? Specifically I was wondering about the RF of the phn in comparison to a Sanyo 4700. And what about the speakerphone? Is it sufficiently loud and clear? I am a novice user and was wondering since the phone specs say it operates at 1900 mhz does that mean that it will not pick up an analog signal? Thanks, Mright123 ...

I believe that this is a 3g phone. If that is teh case than I would suggest going to 3gupload.com you can register there and with a donation (of atleast 5.95) you can download as many rings as you want. I went thru them last night and they have quite a selection of standard ringers. Mright123
