100% agree...
Too many people caught up on this... Not to mention the difference in exterior build quality is much less significant than before. Weight and feel of the One and S4 are not as far off as usual, and if you drop either phone, you are probably going to break it...
Hardware overall is better on the S4, in my opinion, beacuse the hardware category includes camera, processor, potential for more memory, and removable battery... and LED...

I agree with you to an extent, John. But at what point point do you say that true competition should be hindered to allow room for the little guys? If it really was true competition, then AT&T has a valid point... they are simply winning the competition. So if they did skew the outcome and then T- mobile gets huge...well... when is it too huge?

1.They (AT&T) really don't start making money off an activation for almost two years. Perhaps the price is at the perfect medium for the company factoring in everything and this offets this problem?
2.How would they explain this to EVERY customer that asks why their friend pays $20 less per month? How will they post prices in pamphlets so that the simple easily understand? It's clear that if T-Mobile is finally doing ...

I understand the article and the "idea" or, let's call it, a "theory"... But isn't it possible that the company really is charging the correct price? ... after factoring in everything that goes on, including fraud and different costs, expansion, debt, etc... Maybe they do need to continue charging the same price and they just assume most customers will upgrade roughly every two years anyways. Besides:
1. They really don't start making money off an activation for almost two years.

On AT&T, the prepaid service is $65 including 1GB of internet, with $.05 per MB overages... That's a heck of a lot more than the postpaid $90 option with 3GB (assuming one uses 2-3 GB per month). And, like you mentioned, you are stuck with a 3G phone on prepaid, but get better, 4G service on postpaid.
I also get MUCH better service with Verizon or AT&T than the other providers...

I sure hope it's not because they agree with Apple. That would be going AGAINST what they said about "helping innovation", seeing as how Apple only steals ideas and innovates nothing, then tries to hinder true innovation such as, ummm, Smart stay, Eye tracking, new stylus pen functionality, Smart pause, etc... Samsung is the ONLY one of all three companies that see innovating at all.... shame on Nokia, they just lost my support.

Do you guys "break in" your batteries before review?
Batteries always seem to increase in performance after a few cylces, which seems to be the case in one of the threads here below... also my GS1, Inspire, and GS2 did this, but my GS3 didn't seem to...

Can you elaborate on this? Are you saying that the phone is "better" than say an S3 or One X? I know the Burst was spec'ed very highly for it's time, but severely lacked in build quality and potential for longevity...
Have they improved on quality itself, rather than just specifications?

Another reason I can't jump on board with Apple...
Trying to take credit for boring, mundane, everday-use items... whether it's generic-looking icons, shape of everyday items, or general-use terms....
Point is... How about innovating and coming up with some unique features, rather than arguing over things that everbody already does?
Sorry Apple, but you were not the first to everything... actually, more like nothing....
"App" or "application" are general terms, like "program", or "game".... We've had these things for decades...

Yes, sadly many factories have issues, however, I read that the audits were too few and ineffective... this does seem to be the case... And either way, the apple situation seemed to be the worst case by far, hence the media attention....

Yes, I'm well aware of this... my point is that the main scandal with all the suicides was due largely to the iphone, and, from what I understand, it took years for Apple to audit the factory, while the problem was well-known...

I don't know about that first part, but yeah, I agree with the last part..
All of these smartphones look the same and give a similar user experience. Apple sued Samsung because they are Apple's only real threat. If this were about integrity, and not money, then Apple would sue their cheap knock-offs. I've seen knock-offs with an Apple for a logo... They don't go after those guys... Apple has no class, no ethics, no integrity... just a ...

I think I'll defend the "big four" here....
I use AT&T because it gives me the most for my money, in my case... I pay $67 per month which is my part of my family plan. I get unlimited talk and text to any cell phone in the nation, and I am grandfathered with unlimited data. Every 20 months or so, I pay roughly $50-$199 for a pretty high-end smartphone. Even with taxes and upgrade fees, it is still much ...
