Except that you can still use ANY set of headphones in the whole wide world with the iPhone 7. So I'm not really sure what in god's name you're talking about.

They were doing all of those insane promos to acquire customers, now they're going to piss people off with more of these fees. They need money to dump into their network, essentially.

Re: Why no LTE on my Gophone

The real question is WHY, in Gods name, would you buy a GSIII only to put it on a prepaid service? That makes no sense. You've got an awesome phone that you can do almost nothing with. You would have been better off to go with a 2 year contract, get the phone at the subsidized price and then just cancel your service if you don't want it anymore. The early termination fee is less than the cost of ...

8) WINNING. But seriously, if you look at market share Android has a HUGE market share in the realm of mobile devices, the problem is that Google isn't making any money from it. There are a multitude of Android powered smartphones out there ranging from prices at FREE to several hundred dollars, but Google is making about jack and crap from it. On the other hand, where Apple is lacking in market share, they are CLEANING UP in profit. ...

Yeah, it's not going to happen. Verizons network operates on CDMA based technology which does not allow for the simultaneous transfer of data while on a voice call, unless you're in a wifi area. This means if you have Verizon, then talk and surf is OUT. The same thing goes for Sprint and most prepaid networks. On TMobile it'll work to a certain extent, but not everywhere as their network is still rather IFFY. ...

Not to stick up for Apple, but who really cares about NFC? Seriously. What do you want to be able to do with it on an iPhone that you can't now? Apple brought out their little airdrop deal, which essentially does the same kind of thing. Additionally, if you're looking for NFC for mobile payments, if you have AT&T and then you're in luck. AT&T now makes SIM cards that have NFC capabilities built into it. So, ...

The only thing is that some people prefer a mobile phone that is a reasonable size. Personally, I think that the Galaxy phones are cooler, they're just too bloody big and too bloody complicated with all of the customization and shells and widgets and bullshit. The iPhones are a reasonable size, they're fast and they're easy. Thats the only reason I use one.

What you are talking about refers to network technology, not a limitation with the device. Smartphones on AT&T and T-Mobiles GSM networks have been able to multitask for several years. Verizon and Sprint's CDMA networks are largely not capable of simultaneous talk and surf. This is one of the primary differences between GSM and CDMA technologys. That said, I believe that LTE phones that are operating in VZWs LTE network coverage are capable of talk and surf, ...

But that seems a little askew. Looking back to two years ago, Apple had the ONLY BLOODY tablet worth having. Since 2010, Samsung and other manufacturers have considerably stepped up their game in the tablet computer arena. Even ASUS makes a reasonably priced tablet which is worth having. It seems to me that if someone wants a tablet computer, anything smaller than a 10" screen seems useless. You may as well just use a smartphone. As for Apple losing ...

I mean, I know that it doesn't really make any difference, but Apple is usually infamous for pulling all sorts of crap with their devices names. Also, with the now large 4.0 screen, I wonder if an "iPad Mini" is either feasible or even necessary.

Who cares? As long as it works on something other than AT&T's fake 4G, then its cool with me. Last time I could understand why there was no LTE. Verizon had only a few markets, AT&T was barely an LTE carrier. Still at least HSPA+ is better than Verizon 3G. That **** is so slows, its unbearable.

I'm inclined to agree with "rich brome". I don't think that anyone ever made the arguement that Pantech set out to overtake the mobile OS world. It seems like they are just going after AT&T customers who need an affordable, yet somewhat reliable device just for basic phone use. Its not my cup of tea, but hey, someone will buy it.
