So far the word is July 13th. I'm hoping that it does come out then since I've been sitting on my NE2 for a month already and want to upgrade from my Pearl 8130.

T9 on my VX8100 learns new words as well. If you type something with the ABC option and then switch back to T9 before you enter a space, it is added to the dictionary. My phone now knows quite a few extra words.

I had the same problem for a little while and it usually happens if you change the name of the file after you've already saved it. Hope this helps....

It happens regardless of whether I have a full signal or no bars whatsoever. I'm even having a hard time sending my text messages. I tried doing what you said and I can't even keep a call long enough to update the phone. Looks like I may have to take it back to the store. If this keeps up, I'll be switching phones...

I just got the VX8100 yesterday with version 6 software on it and had a problem with it today that I was hoping someone could shed some light on. When I was trying to make outgoing calls, my phone would say "Connecting" for about 30 seconds before timing out and saying that the call could not be completed. It was also dropping calls very badly and taking a while to register when new voicemails were received. Anyone else run ...
