I was thinking about upgrading to the 8700 blackberry and I would like to know since I have the $39.99 unlimited PDA for the treo will that work for the unlimited data for the blackberry or is there a specific data plan for the blackberry??

That's technically the Korean version. The US version is very much based on the Korean one, and should look very similar, but technically I don't think it's been shown to the public yet, so there might be some slight differences. The internals are certainly being tweaked, including things like adding Bluetooth, so I wouldn't want to assume the outside will be identical.

EDGE is available in more cities at the moment but EV-DO is much faster with speeds from 400 to 700 kbps and bursts up to 2 mbps. I'm not too sure how fast EDGE is but I would say about 60-80 kbps with bursts up to 144 kbps.

The 8000 is the one being discontinued. The 8100 is replacing it. That would make no sense to make one shipment if the phone and then discontinue it.

It was only a select serial number sequence that had the error. Most of them were upgraded to the correct version.

Some of the phones shipped from Moto didn't have the V cast software on them. :? Most stores can flash the correct software in them but others had to send them back. All of the E815 in my locations have the V cast software on them.

I saw a commercial for the 6102 last night from Nokia but at the end it stated coming soon to Cingular. It looks like a great phone plus it's a Nokia so it's going to be good quality.
