Sounds like it's Sprint at fault then, not HTC. I'd be interested to read one of those articles you reference. I hadn't seen that piece of information.

See my response to Haggard above for a more complete response. In short, HTC did not skirt a ruling by the ITC. They made the necessary change to their software awhile ago. The issue is that customs has just now decided that they want to check on HTC's compliance when they've had ample opportunity already. That's also why Sprint and HTC have been caught off-guard by this.

Before you post a snarky response, you should make sure you're not ignorant of the facts. HTC did not violate Apple's patents "again," it made the necessary changes after it was found to violate Apple's patents in December 2011. Even though the software no longer violates the patent, the phone is still being held up at customs while their compliance is verified. That, in itself, is pretty ridiculous since plenty of HTC phones have entered the US since being modified ...
