I use this term for a couple of decades to describe unlimited with certain condition. It isn't 100% unlimited but it's "semi unlimited". Speed can be reduced or your network priority goes down after certain threshold

in the Article: Sprint to Sit Out AWS-3 Auction forum

Here is the full article: Sprint Corp. (S:US), working to make best use of airwaves acquired last year, is the only major U.S. wireless-service carrier intending to pass on an auction of frequencies designed to accommodate data-guzzling smartphones. A spokesman confirmed that Sprint won’t participate in the November sale, which the Federal Communications Commission expects to be the largest since a $19 billion auction in 2008. Verizon Communications Inc., AT&T Inc. (T:US), and T-Mobile US Inc. all said they’re interested in ...

The best part is, HSPA+ and LTE support for both AT&T, T-Mobile (and CinBell, Stelera, Wind, Mobilicity, Rogers, Telus...as long as any US and Canada HSPA/LTE carrier).

The price is kinda steep

$760 with HSPA+ and LTE support for both ATT and T-Mobile (and probably Sprint). Hopefully the price will go down to $500 (LTE version) and I will get one for sure.

Don't give FALSE INFORMATION. AWS HSPA will be around along with PCS HSPA and AWS LTE for a long time.

Don't worry. T899 (probably) will have AWS HSPA+LTE for sure. Don't you notice there's NO CDMA band at all?

It's better than S3. According to my usage scheme (a lot of browsing, internet radios, games), I only got about 3.5 hours with S3, but I got 5-6 hours with GN2. A side note: S3 can be very hot to touch at times, but GN2 is just a bit warm when playing games.

Don't you remember SpectrumCo? AT&T can buy AWS spectrum from them. T-Mobile only has measly 30MHz (and 10MHz in some NE areas) AWS license. It doesn't help. Doesn't FCC have its database to look at how much spectrum AT&T has? Don't be cheated anymore.

WRONG!!! Please look at what happened in Canada. No competition = much higher price. Do you want to pay $1 per byte after the buyout (please don't use merger again, AT&T WANTED TO BUY T-MOBILE!!!!!)?

The problem is German government. DT is in deep trouble in Germany due to the whole economy situation in EU. Some countries are in danger of bankruptcy and rich countries have to support them. Unfortunately, Germany is one of them. Frankly, I'd see the whole DT system disintegrate itself.

So far I know only Android 3.1 or higher supports FAT64, so most of Android 2.2 or even 2.3 will have problem with it. On computer side, however, as long as the OS supports FAT64 and SDHC, it will work for sure.

Re: Who's supplying the numbers?
May 28, 2011, 10:21 AM
in the Article: FCC to AT&T: Show Us Your Numbers forum

FCC has the record which carrier has the amount of spectrum in ALL areas (you can check it at fcc.gov). South American carriers are limited to have up to 60MHz cellular spectrum (850/AWS/1900), so US Government should get this rule, and the excess spectrum should return to FCC for another auction.

Galaxy Tab users should update
Mar 12, 2011, 2:40 PM
in the Article: Winamp for Android Updated from 1.0 to 1.0 forum

This update fixed album art "cropping" problem on Galaxy Tab. In addition, it also fixed the home screen icon (when you press lightning logo, you see 8 icons instead of 6). Now AOL should also work on shoutcast support. I encounter "failed to play stream" problem, and AOL should offer different stream option for some stations (for example, WXPN has 24kbps mono and 128kbps stereo streams, but winamp only offers 24kbps).
