I have a Motorola Z6C World Phone. The phone was locked. All I had to do was call Verizon's global division at 800-711-8300. They immediately gave me my unlock code without any problem. With regard to you question about domestic GSM frequencies, sorry, can't answer that. My phone only has the two oversees GSM frequencies. I have used my phone successfully in 3 countries with local prepaid SIMs. Good luck

Yes but Verizon released the HTC Ozone over a week ago and you apparently don't know this yet. There is a difference between a rumor and a fact. Get with it please and include this phone on your website

For your information. I updated the software to .16 and found that the earpiece and speaker volumes improved quite a bit. Not as good as the E815 but much better than before :)

Lack of WiFi is a deal breaker for me. Although I am a VZW fan, I expect a phone of this quality to have built in WiFi. GSM BB's have it but, thanks to Verizon's greed, they have disabled WiFi on all their BB's and their phones. I believe that the Moto Q9m takes a WiFi card in the Mini memory slot but unless they release a WiFi version, I won't be buying it....................... :x

Yes, just call Verizon global division and they will give you the unlock code. You can then buy pre-paid sims for the country you're visiting. Here's the number to call. 800-711-8300

Sorry for the delay - I don't access phonescoop that often. As I recall, when I inserted the SIM and booted the phone, it prompted me to enter time and date. I have a foreign SIM in my phone and I could not find a menu item for time and date. Hope that helps.

Re: GSM Mode-time and Unlock code

I had my phone unlocked by Verizon and have used it in several overseas countries using 3rd party SIMS. In every case using GSM, I had to set the time manually. Only in Brazil using CDMA did the phone set the time automatically - but never in GSM mode. Don't know why. In any event it is a great phone. I upgraded from an E815 and the only problem is the low volume on the speaker-phone - needs improvement. ...

:) Got my replacement, called global services who generated the unlock code for the new phone - it worked!! :D Kudos to the great Verizon staff who worked with me to resolve the problem. the phone works perfectly although I wish the headset and speakerphone were louder. I'm sure Verizon will address this in future updates.......... :D

The unlock codes are now available. However, some phones have faulty firmware which do not allow the codes to work. Verizon is replacing those phones free of charge. You will need to have a third pary foreign SIM inserted in your phone to allow the code request to be generated. I am getting my replacement tomorrow and, when the unlock code has worked, will post the result here.

Bluetooth pairing to Acura TL

Can this phone be paired to an Acura TL like the E815 or V710 can?

Personally, I would not upgrade. Verizon has a habit of creating new problems with their "upgraded software" e.g. the V710 upgrade was donr to prevent transfer from flash card etc. Just my humble opinion. By the way, I think this phone is awesome!! :D

My V710 died and was replaced by Verizon with an E815. I called the Attornies for the law suit and was told that I was now ineligible for a settlement since Verizon took back the phone in exchange for the E815. You must have a V710 in order to exchange it in terms of the settlement.

I took the E815 with new every two as an upgrade from my V710. The E815 ia a great phone. Great reception, great bluetooth, great signal. Tha camera is not important to me. IMHO the E815 is the best Moto ever offered by Verizon. Go for it. :D :D

Bull, glad you chose the E815. It's the best Moto Verizon has. Great reception, great sound, great speakerphone, great bluetooth etc etc Phone first, camera way down the list!! I switched over from V710 with ne2 and will keep this one unless some major new technology comes along. Enjoy https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/p_forum.php ?fm=m&ff=767&fi=478550# Very Happy

I have the latest software on my V710 and linked to an Acura TL. The improvements include showing the signal strength but there is a 4-5 second lag between the time I answer the call and when the caller hears me. I do not have this problem on my Lexus GS300, but wish the Lexus had voice commands like Acura has. Acura is dead wrong about the V710 not working correctly. I've been using mine for more than one ...

Tried pairing it with my Acura TL. No battery indicator, no signal strength indicator and NO VOICE COMMAND DIAL OUT!!! It will allow incoming calls but dial out must be on the phone. Worse than the v710 if that's possible. Back it goes. Will there ever be a standard for bluetooth? sigh! :x

You are all idiots for using a BAD phone. I returned mine to Verizon and called the business Verizon line and purchased a new Audiovox XV6600 with TRUE Bluetooth and PDA. This is not available thru the consumer Verizon people. They don't even know it exists!!!!!! check it out.

This is a great phone. The volume fix worked perfectly for me and the speakerphone is awesome. I don't care about the camera. I am using the Web Browser independently of Verizon and it works well. I am using minutes, but prefer that to paying Verizon $5 per month. I bought the phone for it's bluetooth connection to my Acura TL and apart from no signal strength indicator and a delay in answering, it's great!. Wait for the software ...
