I agree, and can't wait for DOJ to block the sale. The FCC sahould have done it and would have if they weren't so consistently inconsistent.

And those people are short sighted, and more than likely, did not have cellular service before the big 4 came about. The issue that brings up comments like these is a sense of entitlement that seems to be growing in this country. You make an excellent point.

Ok, so I don't necessarily disagree with any of you. However, I would like to point out that while the original intention of the government was to protect the people, the people have an obligation to also protect themselves. If you want to affect change in the way these companies do business, hit them where it hurts... their profits. People whine about the high prices of data on cell phones, not even realizing they have bought ...

And that's the real issue at this point, and one of the reasons that Apple is currently in the middle of 60% of patent litigation in the industry. Apple, IMHO, employs as many lawyers as engineers. Half of those lawyers are probably tasked with writing patents. The US Patent Office, among other agencies, have allowed far too many patents through with broad sweeping language that covers more than just the device, method, program, etc. that is ...

I wouldn't even be concerned about that. On the other hand, I refuse to contribute to a political campaign until I find a candidate that's actually worth my hard earned money. My bigger concern is the donor's name being "anonymous" when stories are breaking out more and more about increased government and law enforcement monitoring of cell phone usage. Also, even with the per line / person limit in place, there is the potential for ...

Actually, I've seen the releases regarding the Network Vision project and everything appears to be moving forward at a steady pace. If the information is accurate, and Sprint makes no major policy changes regarding price plans (nothing in the works that I've heard of) Big Blue and Big Red may have cause for some concern in the next few years.

One of the benefits of a review on anything is to leave feedback without debate or discussion. I understand a review possibly being unfair, or blatantly incorrect, but allowing a developer to repsond inline to review is a very good way to devolve the review forum into an argument. I remember one time, my wife had a very bad experience with a seller on Ebay. She left a bad review of the seller along with a ...

Ok, quick correction. The intention and features of the plan were correctly advertised. There was a system error that was eventually corrected that charged casual data charges for sending MMS. Some of the impacted accounts received a credit for the error. I have no idea how many impacted accounts were credited and how many were missed, before you ask. Assuming that the casual data charges were for MMS only, then the claims are valid ...

Um... production may be a small portion of the issue, but the way I understand this, demand was higher than anticipated. Neither of the carriers are at fault, and the only blame to Samsung is for underestimating the demand for their product. Since Apple is still having "drawing board" leaks and nothing solid regarding specs, I really don't believe this was an effort to "beat Apple"

I always love assumptions. Especially when decisions pertaining to expenses come into play. So far, Sprint has said absolutely nothing about changing their price plans. AT&T made an announcement about shared data plans shortly after Verizon initially announced the idea. If someone was talking about jumping ship to go to AT&T, knowing that they are doing the same thing, I could see your point, but "possibly" and "most likely" are terms that really shouldn't be ...

Pretty much. It goes back to what I said last week. Apple is running scared. They know they've been outclassed at this point even with a mid-range smartphone that is 4G. Finally!!!! A judge in this country that actually uses some discretion and common sense. The move by Apple was ridiculous to begin with and to file a motion with the judge hearing the case in a month was probably jurisidctionally correct, but a bad move. That was very well thought out and put together. I have to agree completely. I am out in the sticks and have to wait (crossing my fingers the whole time) for the Network Vision project to complete and see if I can get Sprint service where I live. In the meantime, I wait and shudder to see how closely AT&T follows Verizon's example when they unveil their shared data plans later this summer. :paranoid:

I agree. Was never saying anything about dismissing the case on face value. No problem with a hearing, but blocking imports and assuming damages before a ruling has been made is irresponsible, no matter what company is involved.

I have to agree. People scream all the time about frivolous lawsuits, but the fact of the matter is the judges still hear them and, most of the time, can see from initial pleadings that the case is baseless. The judges have as much power as anyone to put a stop to these kinds of cases, and I would like to see them use it.

That it created???? Are you kidding me? Apple was not the first kid on the block, and the fact of the matter is that Apple's competition has surpassed them. So, yes, fear, pure and simple. It's not greed, honestly. It's fear. Fact of the matter is, the iPhone 4 and 4S have shortcomings, especially against new high end Android devices. Apple is so afraid of actually competing in the market that they decide to try to block in the courts. It has gotten ridiculous. They are trying to do the same thing to HTC also, only Apple is going after ALL of their smartphones. Again...fear.

I see you point, and don't disagree. If you only have one phone line and want to spend the money for the device, it works for you. I have 5 lines on my account, so prepaid service would actually be more expensive for me along with having to pay retail or close to retail for the phones, so to each his own. Don't think it makes someone a tool, but thanks for the input.
