Re: Questions on mobile email...
What if you take the Xpress mail Personal edition? That should be able to access AOL but the only downfall is you have to be logged in on a computer somewhere.
Re: Cingular Come on....
Mine does not distinguish between M2M minutes but might be because I am on a COU plan. It does distinguish between ANYTIME and N/W min's as you stated JESSICSR.
Re: Why mess up a good thing...
Are Agents able to sell CORPORATE LIABLE lines on Cingular service?
My formerly Blue CORPORATE store is not allowed or enabled to sell any corp. liable lines which is terrible and costs us many sales :(
Re: Cing Reps - advice re Sony Eric T-637?
I am not familiar with the K700 but the Z500a is a good phone and is on special this month. It does not have bluetooth though but does have EDGE, mp3 ringtones, 3d gaming, and is a flip.
Re: Cing Reps - advice re Sony Eric T-637?
It is being discontinued and inventory is shrinking rapidly. The only new SE (Sony Ericsson) handset on the roadmap I am aware of is the S710, which will be considerably more costly than the T637 or the Z500a, but it will also have many additional options.
Re: Free Ringtones
Thanks,
I will try it.
Re: Employees? please help
Nothing cookie cutter about policy. Customer's who insist on using non-Cingular handsets will continue to have problems. 8O There is a reason the phones are programed with the firmware and programs the way Cingular buys them.
I would not call that ignorance but rather intelligence.
Re: Free Ringtones
I think the Wal-Mart thing is now a NO-GO. I have tried it recently on my V551 and V600 and it does not work. I think the secret is out and they realized all the traffic on their site was not for purchasing their wonderful items.
Re: Employees? please help
Not to mention... Its against Cingular policy to knowingly activate a non-cingular phone on the network. Had a guy come in with SONY ERICSSON P910 problems. The notes were loaded with him calling in to try and see why when he put his SIM card from his V551 in this phone it would not access media net or send mms or even sms. The notes all said he should not try to use it because of ...
Re: bluetooth
only problem is the Motorola is on FINDABLE mode for about 30 seconds at a time when you turn it on as finable.
Re: bluetooth
Correct. Just send it to: Your10digitphone#@mms.mycingular.com
Re: bluetooth
You are able to use any type of music software to trim down the Mp3 file to fit on your phone and it should work. The problem with regular mp3 music files is that they are a little too big for the standard phone and it locks it. If you have any ?'s on the software let me know because I have it on my other computer. I have done it and it works fine.
Re: How Cingular Ruined My Holidays!
As a Retail Sales Manager I find it apalling you were not contacted in the timeframe you were promised. Unfortunately I deal with Telesales or internet sales issues on a daily basis. As a company we strive for the common service experience throughout our organization however there is room for improvement and we are working on that.
If I can recommend one thing it is to deal with individual people when possible. It is like ...
Re: SIM card vs. phone software
I don't believe T-MObile Blackberry's include a web browser as that service (web browsing) is not supported by them. What features or qualities of this phone do you find so attractive? I have heard from many Blackberry customers that are so used to the traditional Blackberry form they are very turned off by the new more phone-like style of the 7100t. But then again, these are probably the same customers that would not let go ...
Update on new phones
Does anyone have any update on launch dates of the new LG A7110 and the LG F9100?
Re: Cingular's relationship with CellOne/Dobson
From what I have read there is no equity relationship between Cingular and Dobson/CellOne. AT&T Wireless did have a joint venture with CellOne/dobson however that venture was eventually sold off.
Re: employment with sprint, good? bad?
I was with Suncom, then AT&T Wireless, (after the buyout), then US Cellular, and now Cingular. I was offered a job at Sprint PCS as a sales manager and the only thing I noticed was the salary/wages are lower than what I expected. The salary, in my case, was about $9,000 lower than what I was being paid at the time. The commission structure almost made up for the difference but who wants a lower ...
Re: New Cingular Agent
Sounds like the standard contract. Sounds fair.
Re: ATTWS Reps
Another thing to remember for Care Reps, please remember that unlike AT&T Wireless, at the corp. store level we are not able to activate or migrate customers outside of our state network. I had 3 upset customers yesterday who stated they were told by Care Reps they could come into our store in WI and migrate their Blue numbers with California numbers to Orange. I wish I could help them but the system does not allow us ...
Re: TMS
Glad to hear someone takes these things seriously. AT&T Wireless put activations before morals and hopefully this is not the case with the NEW CINGULAR but we shall see.
Re: TMS
Very Similar to THE MOBILE SOLUTION. Is INPHONIC.COM still selling for us???
Re: Cingular Handset Roadmap
any other handset specifics? or PTT specifications? I know AT&T Wireless was testing a cross-carrier capable PTT service with the ability for International PTT service as well but that was nearly a year ago.
Re: nov commissions for cingular reps
You previously BLUE or always ORANGE? The previously BLUE and now ORANGE reps were shorted considerable commissions and many have not been paid for ANY ORANGE ACTIVATIONS OR MIGRATIONS.
Re: New Cingular Agent
What type of contract residuals did the agreement mention and what type of chargeback period does it mention?
Re: Free???
The original post stated free long distance when calling to canada. If you would like to take things literally you are correct in that "NOTHING IS FREE". I was referring to the fact that when compared to many other company's rateplans that charge extra whenever calling to Canada Verizon Wireless, Cingular, and the former AT&T Wireless offer plans that include calling to and from this area at no ADDITIONAL CHARGE for the long distance. Yes, the ...
Re: anybody has free long distance to cananda?
Cingular does have free long distance to Canada on their North America packages as well and do include the 1,000 n/w min's also. AT&T Wireless (if you can still get on a plan) has the North America Package for $9.99 which can be added to any GSM AMERICA NATIONAL plan and includes calling to and from Canada and does include unlimited N/W minutes.
Re: TMS
I actually ran into another dealer called ProCom who was activating all of their customers under the dealer's FAN account to get the waived activation fees and additional minutes on the account. I also ran a SMART report and found every customer this dealer activated was under their own FAN. Did not get them shut down but in trouble.
Re: A happy customer now pissed off
You also GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!!
Re: Doutbful
Now that you predicted the SPRINT/NEXTEL merger what will be the next one? Which Regional Carriers will combine? Alltel/US Cellular? US Cellular/Midwest Wireless?
Any thoughts??
Re: TMS
Thanks for the info PAULBEAR. I will call Customer Care and try and file a complaint.

yeah peeps, TMS is so shady! I actually worked for that company at one point a few years ago when they used to sell Cingular...man what gets me is that secondary contract...the funny thing is that GSM wireles"premier agent" of cingular just hired a bunch of those shady characters from TMS and also, even shadier from Mobile Systems Wireless....Im seing the same crap all over again   why wont these companies go to hell!!!

Re: I would like a megapixel camera phone that will work on the cingular network any recommendations
Corp. pricing= $399 with 2-year. I was close...
Re: Can any ATTWS CS managers assist me?
The problem "WRATH", is that everday we have customer's coming in to Corporate Stores or calling our Customer Service centers demanding FREE minutes or Free service. While I don't doubt some of these calls are valid, the vast majority are not. It gets very old hearing customers demand free this and free that. While there are a number of Agents (indirect accounts), corporate store employees, and Customer Service reps who may provide incorrect information, they are ...
Re: I would like a megapixel camera phone that will work on the cingular network any recommendations
I believe the contract pricing will be in the mid $300's.
Re: I would like a megapixel camera phone that will work on the cingular network any recommendations
The Siemens S66 is a choice your might consider. Only complaint I have is the buttons are rather small, but as a result the screen is quite large and has very good resolution. I think it is around the $350 price point. The Sony Ericsson S710 is coming out very soon and that is also a very good phone and also sports Bluetooth.

Only CSP and My cingular access so far. I search in CSP but was unable to locate cinglestop. :( Thanks for the help though.

Hmm... I don't know about blue... but on the Orange side we have a system to report Retail/Resellers for actions such as this. Cingular has always been very good at investigating those reports and resolving the situation quickly... I don't know which side you are on but on the Orange side you can find this form through Cinglestop
I am a previously BLUE CORP. Store and now Orange. I am not familiar with CINGLESTOP.
Xpress mail
:D Can someone fill me in on Cingular's Xpress mail feature? There really is not an overabundance of training material for Cingular's Data plans and I am trying to learn as much as possible. Is the Xpress mail feature/service available on any PDA/smartphone device and is it considering a push-mail system? What are the handset requirements to be able to utilize this service/feature?
Thank you to anyone who can provide me some clarification.

Dude, can't you report that crap somehow? I'm pretty sure agencies can be pulled. I've seen it happen from locations out in DFW before. (Crappy Parks mall store)
Why you feelin bad for the customer, they said many times in here they want the best deal they can for the phones, TMS gives them that option, so don't the playa, hate the game.If it wasn't for the customers trying to cut corners to ...
