I've had the phone 3 months and it has not shut off by itself. Have had calls last an hour or so and it did not get hot. The ring volume is loud if you set it up high. Threaded messaging works well. Hope this helps.

I have tried and tried to get it to work. It seems to learn it if repeated in the same message but then forgets it for the next message. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a way to make the receipt of incoming messages silent when the ringer is on or vibrate is on. I'd like to be able to know the phone is ringing for a call but not necessarily be notified or interrupted by the incoming message.

Does anyone know if there is a way to password protect or restrict access to the call history and messages? I just replaced my motorola t720 with the LG 4500 and like all the features, however the security features are not quite as good or else I am just not able to figure it out.
