that was for the phonebook. I have no clue why they let you voice record. Especially since the mic is so weak the person has to be holding the phone in front of their mouth or wearing a headset. Its not like you could record a meeting or something

Voice dial is limited in that you have to know who you want to call. If you have business contacts and can't remember the person's name, but you'd know it if you saw it, you'd need to scroll your phonebook. If you can't look at the keypad, the only way to know what contact you are on is buy listening to the phone say the name. ok... that's a HUGE stretch, but they put it there ...

You can change that yourself. Go to Settings-->personalize-->Sound Settings-->Phonebook. Then Select "None". I'm guessing it is set to "voice" now.

I totally agree, jdtommy. In general what we are seeing is that there are complaints, true. The problem is that people with complaints are more likely to express their opinions. If something goes wrong, the average person will tell 10 friends. If it goes as expected, they'll tell 5. Think about it, if you're ticked off, you are going to scream louder than if you are really happy. We are seeing this snowball ...

Re: How do u transfer ur phone book

I have a 04 Acura TL with Bluetooth. Unfortunately, you can't transfer the phonebook to the car's HandsFreeLink system. I don't even think you can bypass the car's phonebook like in the TL (Although I will be investigating this as that is an nice feature) As far as I know they have to be enterred manually, I only enterred the numbers that I use the most often. Hopefully, you can do it automatically with the Lexus, but ...

Mine formatted fine. So, I'm not sure regarding your problem. It does sound like the CARD wasn't formatted correctly. You could also trying running scandisk on the card to see if there are any bad sectors. If there is try formatting it in the PC and then the phone. But, probably, the Card would need to be returned. As for the free space, my 128MB card had 123008K usable after formatting.

Mine didn't and the website isn't showing it. But I did educate the saleskid at the one I went to. So, he at least knows transflash exists.

The adapter changes the transflash card into a Seecure Digital card. You will need a secure digital card reader in order to read them on your PC. I bought this one from Best Buy it was only $20 and works just fine. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?i d=1051826315864&skuId=5405787&type=product It is a usb 2.0 readers, but is compatible with USB 1.1 also. Just make sure you have an open USB port on your PC.

I've only had my transflash for a day, so I can't say I've had the same problem, but does it look like the contacts on the card are scratched? If not, do you put the card in while the phone is on or do you turn it off? I only remove and insert the card with the phone off and I haven't had any problems. I didn't want to try it with the phone on for ...

WAP Browser USage question
Aug 17, 2004, 2:32 PM
in the Motorola V710 forum

I searched through countless threads trying to find the answer to this question, but couldn't. So I'm guessing I'm the only novice to this feature. I'm trying to use the WAP browser. I never used it before on my old phone. Is there a way to manually insert an address? For instance, if my homepage is yahoo, and I want to check out espn. Can I simply go to a menu option and type in ...
