So, I have one question
Where do I find the G Suite?
Re: T-Mobile Claims
Meh. I'm a loyal T-Mobile customer and even I admit that their numbers sound fabricated. Example - they "cover" 305 million Americans*. I have yet to figure out what that actually means, considering that we know for a fact that they don't have that many customers, or even that they have ever had that many people simultaneously using their network. They definitely like to "make up" some of their figures.

Well that's...
probably because the direction of the arrow has been completely inaccurate ever since the interface was change to Material UI. That was well over a year ago, perhaps even two years?
Re: Just a faster way to gobble up data
You say "inferior" as if it is fact rather than your personal opinion...
Re: 5,000mAh
This. I'm not going to buy a crappy phone just for the battery, so it would sure be nice if the phones I actually WOULD buy would have these...
Re: Women Emoji
Bingo.
Impressive, but...
Almost a dollar per MB. It sucks how any time you go up and up the performance chain, the value for what you get vs. what you spent completely plummets.
Re: Where in Montana??
Have you not been outside of Montana? If you have, and you hit an LTE coverage spot, I'm pretty sure you would be included in this figure. That's why these announcements are stupid and misleading.
Re: Wondering?
That's pretty much exactly what I told acdc1a - not to mention that keyboard phones cost more to manufacture. But everyone still seems to think this should be priced like an Alcatel.
Re: Smores
And I drive a 1998 Toyota Camry and don't have any problems. What's your point? Joking obviously...I do not drive a 1998 Toyota Camry, but you get the idea :P
Re: $700?
Can you explain? The full price Verizon is charging for the Galaxy s6 edge and Galaxy s6 edge+ are $672 and $768, respectively. I'm looking at these phones because of the curved displays, obviously. So if we look at the display size alone, the price of the BB should be right in between these two devices...which, oh look, it is. But wait...there's more. This is a slider with a physical keyboard, which is a good bit pricier to manufacture ...
A flagship?
With a 1.5 GHz SD 617? :\
Yawn
Need I say more? Someone will be excited, I'm sure...but I am not.
Hahaha
18 gigs is more like "medium" for a 2015 family.
Is that Mayim Bialik?
First thing I thought when I looked at the photo :P
Re: TMobile wants $5 dollars more to make calls from a watch when you have a phone plan?
I'm too lazy to dig around T-Mobile's plans, so I'll just ask - what individual plans do they have that cost $100? I'm just wondering because for my individual plan I pay $79 and that gives me unlimited everything - except tethering of course - I don't tether much so I'm not even sure what the limit is but I think it's at least 5 GB.
There could be different rates now as I've had my plan for a few ...
Re: RIP Blackberry
I'm not dooming anything. The CEO literally said they might exit the smartphone business if things don't improve. Are you telling me things are going to improve? Because that would require a very sudden turnaround after years of just barely staying afloat.
RIP Blackberry
It gave so much to the smartphone industry but it will never be competitive like it was once was, especially given that they have put a definite deadline on realizing that success.
Groan
That R7 Plus sounds amazing. But no US LTE :(
Props, FCC. Props.
I mean it would be one thing if they were charging $10-15 and doing this. But $80? Yeah, gimmie a freaking break.
Re: Ha
@Jsamp likewise. I have a Nexus so I guess that's the difference. That's why I have it though - I need to have the latest and greatest!
Re: That moment when...
Well Rich, I can see why you run this site, always so fair and unbiased! :D
I'll admit I just kind of assumed the edge was just the next S series device. I haven't been keeping up too much on Samsung I guess because I'm sort of "over" the Samsung craze. That's good to know, though.
Re: That moment when...
Thanks, for the reply, Rich. Yes, there are still very minor differences, but no doubt they are no longer completely different devices like they had been in the past.
That moment when...
You realize the S6 edge and the Note 5 have the same display size, and the exact same specs from everything I glanced over. So, basically, there's no longer any point in making a non edge version of the S phone, since without the curved display they would be the same device?
Re: Love it
True the battery is small, but it isn't THAT much smaller than the on in my Nexus 5 (2300 mAh), and the display is the biggest battery drain in any phone. This thing has a small, low-res display, so I bet you'll still get a day out of it.
So, basically
AT&T wants people to use less data.
Re: Overpriced
And my question is do these Chinese phones work on networks in the US?
Yup
Imagine if McDonald's came out with their own "special sauce" that tasted like motor oil and you couldn't order a burger without it. This is the same idea, just less tangible. Only difference is Google isn't *literally* shoving their product down our throats.
Edit: this was meant to be a reply to Tamarai. Still getting used to the new comment system on here.
Re: MMS
Who would't? But Voice users have been asking for that since back when I was using it alongside the $30 T-Mo prepaid plan. I think I stopped using it between 3 and 4 years ago and the best I've heard they've been able to do is forward to e-mail when receiving messages from just Sprint users, if I remember correctly? I just don't see it happening, personally.
Really?
I looked it up and what I found is he makes around $1 million a year. That's NOTHING for a CEO of a large company. Okay, so his stock option is worth a lot, but I doubt that's uncommon.
Look at the rest of the specs
2 GB RAM, 720p display, 8 MP camera. This isn't a high end device.
Sure...
I'm actually not paranoid at all really, and even I have trouble believing this wasn't designed this way intentionally.
Re: Android M
As much as I hate corporate sponsorship, Milky Way would have been cool...
Re: Well
But it is true that our consumer cable/DSL speeds are absolute garbage compared to numerous other countries.
Re: $800 and what?
Ding ding ding! Winner!!! Even the 64 gig 6 Plus can be up to $900 unlocked depending on the retailer. And guess what...the GS6 has a similar pricing structure. I'm guessing most people don't go for the 128 gig option though, especially with all the cloud services being pushed nowadays, I mean Google themselves have tried to get people more on the cloud.
I too am not 100% sure about this Turing phone and how good it will be, and ...
Is Moto really that desperate?
Don't get me wrong, it's cool for customers. But their numbers must be looking pretty grim.
A list of all the reasons I think this is awesome.

I was one of those who thought "what the f*** is the point of VoLTE." But that is a real good answer. Freeing that spectrum up would allow the carriers to be able to offer more data for cheaper and ideally even unlimited full speed data eventually.
There's one problem with that...don't forget that the mobile communication is for all intents and purposes an oligopoly, and that allows prices to stay high and the consumer's power ...
Re: Ironic
And then there's Vonage, which is a combination of both things you touched upon. :P
Re: More reason......
Wi-fi...lolz. I almost always have LTE, and with my unlimited data, all I need is an outlet and I can turn my hotspot on.
