Actually, I live in Hope, NY in Hamilton County in the Adirondacks. No service for that matter will work up here. I am going to try one of those wireless extenders at work and see if that takes care of it. There is not a phone service that will even come close to where I live so in that respect it doesn't matter.

Yeah, it picks up AT&T but the signal indicator just says SOS so I am assuming it can only be used for 911 calls

Not sure how much a service extender would work. My phone runs in emergency only mode and hits off of AT&T. If I force it to CDMA only, I can sometimes get a 1X with no bars but no EVDO at all. Its rough!!

Battery life with Mobile Email
Mar 15, 2009, 9:11 PM
in the Verizon forum

I was wondering what anybody's thoughts were regarding Mobile Email chewing into the battery life. I came home from vacation yesterday with the battery completely drained and put it on the home charger. After is said "Battery Completely Charged", I took it off the charger and turned the phone on. This was at about 11pm. I woke up this morning around 10am and the battery was down to 2 bars from 4. The only think that could have been ...

Question about mobile email
Mar 11, 2009, 10:17 PM
in the Verizon forum

I have finally upgraded my Audiovox 9900...yes..that one. It should have won an award for best phone ever!! Anyways, went with the Krave since I thought was a great looking phone. I am interested in the mobile email since it will in a way let me know what an email has arrived, sort of like a fake BB if I'm not mistaken. I understand its $5/mo & then $1.99 MB. On average, how many emails would fit into 1MB? ...

I have finally upgraded my Audiovox 9900...yes..that one. It should have won an award for best phone ever!! Anyways, went with the Krave since I thought was a great looking phone. One of the only faults I see is how the qwerty keyboard doesn't seem user friendly since the flip gets in the way of your left hand. Anybody find a fix for this such as using it with the flip cover? Also, I ...

Took the leap to the BB Storm the day it came out and as most people know, not the greatest phone. So, back to my 9900 with the original battery no less!!! WOO_HOO!!

I purchased the Storm today and since I have had it I cannot figure out how to get it to make the clicking sound when I type. I've looked in every menu in the phone (at least I think I have). Anybody know where to turn it on and off?

I haven't been on phonescoop for quite sometime but I do have a few questions for this forum. I used to work at VZW in NY until about a year and a half ago. I now live in Florida and I am shopping around since my contract with VZW is almost up. I am looking for a 4 phone family plan and going by price, you have VZW beat hands down since it looks like you ...

A couple questions for VZW Cust Service
Jan 18, 2007, 10:03 AM
in the Verizon forum

I received an email from VZW about the VIP program because of the plan I am on. In it, it states that I can get a one time credit if I go over my minutes on a current billing cycle? Does this sound correct? It also gives a different number than regular customer service. 2nd question: I have signed up for My Account years ago. It states in the Worry Free Guarantee that I should have the "Minute ...

Yes, you when you load the software, the PC will do basically everything for you. You will get a pop-up box that says connect and once you click on it, your phone will automatically dial in to the web using #777, and all you have to do is open Explorer up and you will be on the web. :D :D

That is correct!! When you are using a moblie office kit with your phone and laptop it will only use your minutes. During the day it will use your peak minutes, but after 9pm and on the weekends, it is free. There is also no monthly charge. The $5 mobile web feature is to get actually information on the phone itself. Jamie

1. It does have a regular alarm clock 2. I personally think it rings loud enough. I have the 9500 right now and it is about the same volume. 3. It appears that you can only have it ring OR vibrate, not both at the same time 4. The speakerphone is kind of iffy. It is again comparable to the 9500 which I use in the car, could be louder, but good enough for me to ...

:D First of all, I think it is a great phone. I have been messing around with it for a few days. I have sent videos and pictures, and the quailty is good. As far as talking about the full retail pricing on the phone, you will notice that it actually changes. The full retail price is the 2-year pricing before any rebates +$100. If you look at the prices online or at the ...

Re: The bottom line on contracts:
Aug 28, 2004, 3:37 PM

The correct overview of price plan changes is as follows: If you sign up on a 2 year contract and want to change your plan to a new promotion, and you have 12-24 months left on your contract, it would extend from 2 years from the day you change your plan. If you have 1-12 months left on your contract, you only have to extend for 1 year from that day. The only exception that does not extend your contract is if ...
