actually cingular customer service does suck !!! i find most of the time the initial rep can't assist me and ends up telling me that they are going to transfer me or better yet because they don't want to mess up their transfer rates they want me to call back through their stupid IVR and call again. I have had customers call in to our IVR because of routing issues and CINGULAR won't even take the customer ...

A lawsuit filed in federal court says that Cingular Wireless LLC purposely neglected the network it acquired when it merged with AT&T Wireless in 2004, allowing customers' service to degrade and forcing AT&T customers to sign new contracts. AT&T wireless was better b4 cingular took it over. I don't know why AT&T sold to cingular, they should of stayed where they were. Now all of the AT&T customers are having problems with their phones because they aren't on the "new" cingular network, so its causing their calls to drop, and coverage where it use to be isn't there anymore. Very frustrating :roll:

probably rogers has the best coverage. As far as calling plans are concerned Telus probably has the best plans

attn ...austin 316...... if you are a csutomer care rep then its a wonder why our at&t wireless customers don't want to go to cingular!!!!...... you should be ashamed of how you address questions on this forum.... I wouldn't want to get you if i called into customer care :roll:

RM reps are a$$holes too!!!!. especially when it comes to written off accounts. they don't want to help. all they want to do is refer the customer to the outside collection agency :roll: the least they could do is try to help!!!!. and then they call us if a customer has a dispute on their bill, I know that we handle billing disputes, but RM won't even try to discuss it, just transfer to customer care. what ...

we all hate those transfers wheather they'd be blind or cold..... blind transfers are worse though cause the customer gets really pissed when that happens. but i guess it all comes with the job :wink:

SIEBEL IS STARTING TO PISS ME OFF!!!!!!.... IT IS RUNNING REALLY SLOW....CAN'T GET INTO BILLING AT ALL. ANYBODY ELSE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM :x :x

totally agree!!!! with you they should charge because then the customers wouldn't call in for stupid charges. like a .10 for a text messaging charge. or something else stupid. drives me right up the wall :roll:

I Totally agree with you Clytemnestra about the petetion, i had suggested the same thing. But whos going to sign it cause people won't want to get in trouble for signing it.. but i would do it if it came to me :D

protocols my a$$!!!!!....for once people should worry about the customers NOT THEIR STATS. I"m not saying we shouldn't worry about our stats at all, but our policy on the "blue" side is to WARM TRANSFER all calls unless the wait time is over 40 seconds. i know that not all of the reps do it on this side either ,but i bet if you monitored AT&T wirelss centers and Cingular wireless centers, Cingular would be worse!!!. like i ...

like i said before we have been told that we can ask for AWIDs.... so any reps that get SSTs AWIDS get them for a reason, and I'm sure you would too if you had as many calls coming in from them that THEY CAN HANDLE. So until my supervisor tells me other wise like I said before, I will continue to do it.

I HAVE HAD A FEW COLLEGUES TELL ME THAT CINGULAR CUSTOMER CARE IS BLIND TRANSFERING CALLS !!!!!... I HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS MYSELF, AND IT PISSES ME OFF!!! THEY BETTER STOP. AT LEAST WHEN I CALL OTHER DEPT'S I WARM TRANSFER THE CALL. IT'S PRETTY BAD WHEN THE CUSTOMERS THEMSELVES ASK US TO STAY ON THE LINE TO MAKE SURE WE HAVE THE RIGHT DEP'T ON THE OTHER PHONE. NO WONDER CINGULAR HAS SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE 8O

i know exactly what you mean, there is really no point of sst :evil: , they don't do $h!t all they know how to do is transfer calls. at least they can do that properly!!!. But that is about all they can do. why don't they just get rid of them, they are as useless as tits on a bull!!!! I would rather take the Q any day then to take calls from SST :roll:

yeah you are right about sst!!!!. they really don't do their job..... we have a matrix that shows what sst does i.e file NWRS and they then say they don't have access to NWRS :roll: WHATEVER!!! but I would rather take a call sometimes because SST is the reason for some of our customers misinformation..... and anytime sst calls me, I ask for their AWID too and if they don't give it to me, I won't take the ...

I am a blue rep, who gets calls from Cingular from our customers who want to pay their last bill. while cingular gives me the customers phone #, they still cold transfer the call. If customer care is going to cold transfer the call then what is the sence of giving us the information... the call then comes to us with the customer saying "hello.... hello" so we have to introduce ourselves. with us our policy is to warm ...

acutally customers can't get accessories for AT&T phones according to your customers. the stores only sell Cingular accessories, so you actually didn't give them the right info.... she could have been directed to attws.com/accessories and get it there cause that is proabably going to be the best place for her to get it. :wink:

i am glad everybody thinks i'm a he for one. for 2 i'm not in school so i don't need to watch my puncutation!!! i was stating the truth about the plans don't need to take it out on how i write in this thing, cause last time i checked not everybody on here is correct in how they write so kiss my @ss :roll:

and that is why cingular customer care is so p!ss poor. they really need to change that. cingular wants to be on the top of JD power and associates for their customer care but yet they do nothing to make it easier for our customers on the blue side

cingulars calling plans are so much more different then ours, customers have to PAY for early evenings and if they go on a shared plan then the only way they get their additional lines for $10 is if they are on $69.99 and higher, guess cingular is trying to get back all of the money they paid to aquire AT&T wireless in the first place.

but we can still warm transfer calls if the hold time is less then 40 seconds so we at least have that

i totally agree with you. i wish they would give us some sort of directory on who to call and under what circumstances to call the individual dept's
