It was great a few years ago. But when Sprint bought Nextel out is when the service went down hill. I remember when I had a Nextel phone they switched me to a hybrid phone. The phone part worked pretty good. Then they phased them out for the cdma direct connect phones. The dc was so bad you could hardly use it. Now you can download apps for Android & iPhones that include dc. I think it will tank. ...

I really liked the direct connect. But as we all know, sprints network is the smallest next to tmobile. Forget using your phone in rural America like I tried to do. I have drivin up to 250 miles with nextel and had no service.

I think these carriers need to be reminded that they work for us. They are starting to act like the government. I bet if we quit using smartphones they'd loosen up a little.

I'll believe this when I see it. All the HTC phones have been getting attention except for the thunderbolt it seems. Still haven't been able to find a good case for extended battery. We will just sit back and see I guess.

I'm willing to bet this phone will be like the thunderbolt. People couldn't wait (including myself) for it to come out. It was delayed several times and when it finally came out there were hardly any lines at the stores and if came with only HALF of the features that were promised. Here it is July and there's no gingerbread update, no skype, and it's like finding a needle in a haystack for extended battery cases. This phone works ...

I was in a store today and the rep told me that as long as you don't change the plan yourself there's nothing to worry about, including upgrades.

I used another line on my account to upgrade. My contract ends in September. If they tier my plan I'll just move on I guess. I use about 3-4 gigs per month. I'm a truck driver and I stream a lot of radio and video talk with my kids. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Yep as far as I'm concerned, there's no reason to have 4g if you have to worry about how much you use. That's like having a faster car on a shorter road.

Unless they grandfather us in that leaves me no option but to go somewhere else. Verizon is already the most expensive company out there. I can't even fathom paying more than we do now for limited data.

As a consumer, tiered data plans steer me away. If I have to worry about my data use I will just have to find an alternative to wireless data. I look at it this way, get you hooked then charge you like crazy.
