As a Verizon employee and a biased Droid user, let's give these to phones a fair comparison.
Thunderbolt is 4G. This matters only in a 4G market. No carrier is 100% 4G. So if you are in a 4G market (as I am), it's easy to see that as a high mark, but overall for the U.S., it's not. Acually, I work for Verizon as well.
The ability to use data while making a call is enabled by the 4G network. If you are not in a 4G area, it will not work. If you do pick up a 4G signal as they are continuing to develoop in 3G areas, the ability to use data while on the phone is weak and should not be relied on.
