That is not how it works. Next 18 means you get to "upgrade" or "lease" a new phone after the 18th payment has been made of 24 payments. If you do the math, that means in 18 months you would have only paid 150.12 and 200.16 at the end of 24 months (also there is no activation fee, you just have to pay taxes up front based on the 199.99 cost of the phone). If you pay it off ...

Yes. AT&T does have that plan. It is called Next and has full details on their website. Also, they will allow a device unlock as long as you have active service for 2 months (60 days) which entails no ETF if cancelled on day 60. My thought is, if you dont want AT&T service and just want an unlocked S5, why dont you just buy it through Samsung instead? Its the same price and is unlocked from the factory. ...

I agree that their prices are higher, but honestly for what I pay for, I am happy that I have not dropped a call or had a bad data connections in almost 3 years. I am with ATT and really like their network improvements. It is worth the 140 I pay per month for 2 iphones and a QMD sharing plan. I need the coverage they have. If Tmo had more coverage, I would reconsider the pricing war side ...

I was thinking the same thing when I read the title. HAHA. All these people bashing the other carriers for responding and giving new options. So funny...AT&T and Verizon never claimed that their programs were cheaper than T Mobiles, but all the people in the blogs blew up about how expensive it is...everything is expensive lol. This is certainly a response to the Next and Edge programs. I love how the huge levels of competition makes everyone eat their ...

30.00 for Quick Messaging devices. They are no longer requiring a smartphone to be the minimum device requirements for group share plans. Likely, smartphones will start at 40.00 add on to the data. This price point will help them to compete more with lower priced options from the 3rd and 4th carrier plans. Even though they press for unlimited data, those carriers still have half the coverage. Update: it is 45.00 per month for Smartphones on the 1 - 2 ...

Why risk your job over something as minor as this? People sure are getting dumber everyday. If you work for that company, why would they want to keep you? You should be way more concerned about the next unannounced iphone than this one. Either you work in retail or in a call center and either way, your job will not change tomorrow. There will still be customers. Really...how much time do you need to prepare for this device ...

Doesnt every business account for error? Show us not just that there is a problem, but how to fix it. Try this: Does a certain coffee vender that just so happens to cover the nation in its drink bliss at an average of 4 - 5 dollars a cup "overcharge" it's customers for the drink experience? This is going to happen in every industry. My Tshirt doesnt have the exact thread count. My car tires do not have the ...

Just a small FYI...Ralph De La Vega spoke to shared data plans last year at CES when he announced the first Atrix 4g phone. So, this has been in the works for years from both companies. Not really a sudden thing.

Well don't read too deep into my words. I do work for a carrier and I train people on how to troubleshoot network issues and such. I know a bit about the networks and how they work. I am not an engineer, but I can tell you that device like iPhones are expanding at incredible rates (see apples 100 billion cash stock pile) and AT&T is attempting some pretty big business approaches. I forgot to mention too...most people do ...

Correct j. Tmo and AT&T can do both voice and data because they use GSM for voice and GPRS for data. Of course that is all the 3G network including HSPA+. CDMA carriers use the same signal for both. So for those devices to perform simul voice and data, the data has to be either be LTE or wifi. Relieving voice for AT&T is not the solution. It would require a change of using 700 MHz spectrum for their ...

Its not. They are running low on spectrum at a serious rate. But they are still a business and have to make an attempt at increasing it per Shareholders agreement. I own stock in that company and want them to grow bec of that. That means keep selling and connecting everything. They cannot stop selling phones...it doesnt work like that for a company of this size. They attempted to get spectrum to meet the next 10 years of network ...

Nice reply. I like and use AT&T, but your reply here is truthful. Sounds like you make decisions. Something everyone dogging AT&T practices should do. Voice your opinion...that is fine and dandy. But if you complain and do nothing about it...your complaint is worth about as much as a pile of crap!

What are you doing using that much data on a phone? Why do you NEED this much? Are you a Doctor saving lives? A scientist that is solving world hunger...wait...maybe you are a new business owner and run all of your business from an iphone with your newly made app. If you are complaining about needing 10 Gb for your Media pleasures...you need to rethink what you consider important in your life. Resources are not unlimited. AT&T has spent ...

You all seem to not understand that AT&T is a business...if you have service with AT&T or any other provider this is no different. You should all consider what you are agreeing to when you start service and sign contracts...if you dont, that is your fault, not AT&Ts. Go to their website and search for Terms and conditions (or Verizon or Tmo or your regional carrier). It is no different than any other provider of services. If there are ...

Not a fail...LEARN before you type a comment. They are not like Verizon phones that require an LTE radio and a seperate CDMA radio to allow simul voice and data. LTE is a data only network still for both carriers, however, AT&T is able to use a single radio for all bands. Although LTE is data only, AT&T devices can go to HSPA+ or older technologies to allow the simul voice and data still. Until VOIP over LTE is ...

Actually, AT&T did announce support. To allow this, you will need to be on the newer 2 GB plan for $25 and then tag on the tethering add-on for $20 - adding another 2 GB for tethering for a total of $45 for 4 GB of data. This is going to work for both ipad and iphone 4.
