Meanwhile, while the claim originality of almost everything, they use other peoples images as icons, like the Swiss Railway clock design. Pathetic. But the funny part is, they only forced apple to pay them to use it after they witnessed apples aggression towards any company it can think of to drag to court and bully.

Whoever thinks Verizon has the spectrum but doesn't have a "license to broadcast" is delirious. Owning the lease on the spectrum is all the license they need to use it. Like all wireless companies, Verizon has coverage partners. Lets use Bluegrass as an example. Verizon coverage in large parts of Kentucky is provided by Bluegrass. Bluegrass may have their own spectrum, use Verizons, or often some of both, but Bluegrass runs the network and has their own customers under ...

People who use hot water are the ones who want clean clothing. Whatever added ingredients they add to the tide to make it clean in cold water probably outweigh the benefits of using cold water. If you are using Tide and not one of environmentally friendly soaps that have been on the market for decades, you must not care too much anyway. And some people have solar water heaters so the hot water doesn't hurt anything. Thanks for playing.

There is no reason, other the finite amount of bandwith that exists, the capacity of existing towers and equipment, and the sincere desire to keep the most amount of customers happy, and therefore, you know, remaining customers, not to mention the money they pay each month which goes to pay the salaries of employees, for equipment etc. Other than that, you're right. There is absolutely no reason.

Sprint has lost iden subs in the past, no doubt. But the business at hand now of being required to vacate the spectrum isn't really their fault and could not have been known in advance, so hopefully their CDMA replacement will be good and they will keep most of what they have. Truth be told, the PTT on any other carrier that offers it is so bad that they won't win any iden diehards anyway.

That's what I am saying... This is the defense that apple is trying to use in the "Court of Public Opinion." Jobs himself made this claim. My point is, their excuses might fool some people who see jobs on tv, but in court, it's irrelevant. Whatever Android does is not unrelated to apples case.

Sprint want current law to be applied to the situation. Nothing more. There is not a precedent for this kind of consolidation, and the legality of it is a big question. It's good that they turned down verizons offer to build out their lte spectrum is Cell Souths area. Going with Lightsquared is a much wiser option. Every hole in verizons lte network is either an area they won't offer coverage or one that they will spend a lot of cover themselves. For a smaller carrier, it would be really stupid to sign on with the verizon scam plan.

They cannot, unless the business agrees to be regulated by the FCC. By leasing spectrum that is publicly owned, att and verizon agree to the terms that were stated in advance. Perhaps they should consider owning networks in the third world, or switching industries if they don't like to play by the rules.

Thats true. In other words, they have no problem with this type of agreement when it benefits them, but they don't wanna play by the rules when it doesn't. Tough luck. The people have spoken.

Verizon already leasess their network to multiple MVNO's so why weren't you complaining before now? Vzw has no problem doing that because it's much more profitable. They don't care if it effects you.

Apr 7, 2011, 6:33 PM
in the Article: FCC Mandates that AT&T and Verizon Allow Data Roaming forum

Never mind that vzw is too cheap to bid on enough spectrum to accomodate their bloated network and roam on Sprint when their network is full. IT's an agreement they both depend on. Besides, Sprint had an awesome agreement with Altell that suited both of them really well, before consolidation ended that. So vzw can't complain.

Re: Lame FCC
Apr 7, 2011, 6:30 PM
in the Article: FCC Mandates that AT&T and Verizon Allow Data Roaming forum

It's not at all about fairness. It's about law. att and vzw knew the rules when they leased the spectrum from the government. They don't want to play by the rules they argreed to. They will be paid, they don't want the profit they will make from these agreements, they want a duopoly with no competition so they can make even more later.

Verizon "offered" to divest markets. Oh, how nice of them. Too bad that they were going to have to anyway to get approval, so how nice of them to volunteer a good dead like that lol. An old classmate of mine just "offered" to serve 90 days in a plea deal. You know, as a nice gesture.

Of course, att and vzw could always go run any private business they wanted and not one that is dependent on public airwaves. Then, they would have less rules to follow.

The big boys want to roam anywhere THEY want and only on THEIR bully terms. They like to try and patch together a network using regional carriers and other network operators but to their clout against each individual company, not as a group. Basically, they want the small guys dependent on their roaming fees, but not strong enough to demand reciprocal agreements.

Thank you. That's what I was going to say. Btw, watch how you reply to certain posters, hint hint. It clearly says they have to pay for the roaming. Nothing is free. Even if they did have to provide roaming free, if those were the rules when they bid on the spectrum and they knew it in advance, they still would have no room to cry about it later. But no, they don't want the compensation for roaming they will ...

Here's a fact. They were intentionally breaking the established rules on roaming that they agreed to. Fact. A more specific rule had to be passed to stop their cheating and anti competitive ways. They got busted and now they are crying. Fact. The vote went along party lines. Fact. A currently tea party dominated republican party versus the Democrats. Fact. Any other questions. Not saying they are huge or anything, but last I saw they had around 1 million wireless subscribers in the US. But they parent company runs networks in numerous countries, I know in the Caribbean and I think South America. I know they just started working on 4G for the Navajo Nation. It's a real company. Not the just the remnants that will be disappearing after a set amount of time is up. They own the Altell name now.

Roaming for free. Where did it say that? You got it all wrong. They are required to allowing roaming. The rules come with the spectrum, and that belongs to the public, they are only renting it. The problem was, they were breaking the rules they agreed to by not allowing data roaming at ANY cost. Now they simply must comply with the rules they agreed to in advance and allow roaming for data at reasonable rates. Get over it.

So you don't think the Federal Agency in charge of communication over public airwaves has the authority to enforce pre existing laws requiring them to allowing roaming? Wow. Been to many Tea Parties, or just not paying attention? Att and Vzw knew the rules to every auction for spectrum and this has ALWAYS been a requirement, so time to put a stop to their cheating ways.

So if the millions of tmobile customers who are happy with the coverage and don't need more, should pay more because....? They might be getting something more, but it's something more they don't need or want. But now the won't have the choice for themselves because cowardly politicians and greedy companies made it for them. Hope this fails.
