Re: text alert problem
Jul 22, 2008, 7:13 AM
in the Apple iPhone 3G forum

I just started having the same problem last night. I thought I was crazy for a little bit & just wasn't hearing the txt alert. I reset the phone and that seemed to help but from what I've been reading on other forums, that is just a temporary fix. Hopefully Apple will do something about this problem SOON!

Sep 12, 2007, 8:45 PM
in the BlackBerry Curve 8300 forum

I've had this happen to me twice. First time every message (two email accounts, and my sms messages) dissapeared. Most recently, all of my sms messages were erased. My phone rang as tho I had just recieved an sms message but when I checked the phone all of my messages were gone. No idea what's causing this. Can anyone help with this???

4GB MicroSD/Transflash

in the BlackBerry Curve 8300 forum

Haven't seen any posts on this but I just got the 4GB MicroSD card for my Curve and it's working perfectly. Have 3 movies and about 50 songs and a bunch of pics on there and I've barely made a dent. Amazing that you can store 4Gigs of data on such a tiny piece of storage media.

Re: SIMPLE...

in the AT&T forum

You may have a point with battery life but I'm not so sure I agree with one of the reasons being to keep the phones slim. Both the Razrv3xx & Blackjack use HSDPA (3G) and both are slimmer than the Curve. Blackjack is same width as iPhone.

Curve & iPhone on EDGE ?????
Jul 9, 2007, 9:11 AM
in the AT&T forum

Just wondering if anyone has a reason as to why AT&T continues to release it's "best" high-end phones (Curve & iPhone) on the EDGE network instead of 3G. I'm with another carrier and have considered switching to AT&T to get the Curve but it would def. be significant step backwards in terms of network data speed. Currently have EVDO smart phone and am a pretty heavy data user. Just curious as to why phones as advanced as the Curve ...

Re: is the battery REALLY that bad??
Oct 8, 2006, 11:50 AM
in the Motorola Q forum

The Q def. doesn't have GREAT battery life but it's not that big of a deal for me b/c it's usually no problem for me to charge it frequently. With a wall charger at work and at home along with a car charger, I'm usually topped off and running out of juice has never been an issue. I'm not one of those people who think a cell phone is JUST TERRIBLE if you have to charge it more than ...

If you're looking for a slim phone to keep track of your schedule, appointments, and tasks, the razr and krazr just can't compete with the Q... especailly if you add (Facade & Papyrus). I'm running Facade & Papyrus to manage my appointments and tasks. They work great together and are MUCH more functional than the Q's default software. Also using PTab, wich allows you to edit Excel files on your Q. Hope this helps. I'm very satisfied with ...

Been using the Q for about two weeks now & I haven't had any signal strength (or drop calls) problems at all. It's actually better than I thought it would be. Hope this helps.

in the Samsung SCH-A930 forum

Tried using this method & it didn't work. Has anyone put their own ringtones on THIS phone? I've read a lot of posts that suggest things that "SHOULD" work but I haven't ready anything from people that have had success with doing it themselves on the A930.

Indicatiors for Missed calls, voicemails, and txt messages do not stay lit after about a min or so (maybe less). you have hold the any of the side keys to make that info show up again. I would def. prefer that it stay lit, but i don't mind it too much especially because I have the Reminders turned on. Mine is set for every 15min. Yes the phone will ring and vibrate at the same time. You have to ...

A930 vs V3m
Jun 5, 2006, 1:11 PM
in the Motorola RAZR V3m forum

I currently have the A930 but am considering exchanging it for the new V3m. I'm wondering if the additional cost of the V3m is worth it. I like almost everything about A930 but the thinness (carry my phone in my pocket) and the ability to use mobile phone tools of the RAZR really does appeal to me. I do wish the CDMA RAZRs had better screens though. The screen on the A930 is very good. Just wanted to get ...

Re: Email Ringtones To Phone???
May 26, 2006, 5:20 PM
in the Samsung SCH-A930 forum

Tried using funformobile.com. Doesn't work. The midi file shows up in the inbox and plays there. But once you save it to the phone, there is no sound when you push play (even though you can set it as a ringtone) Seems like the workarounds for previous phones don't work on the A930. Looking like Verizon Wireless has screwed all A930 owners and now $3 "temporary" ringtones from get it now is the only option.

Email Ringtones To Phone???
May 26, 2006, 12:55 PM
in the Samsung SCH-A930 forum

Anyone figure out how to get your own ringtones to work on this phone yet? I'm able to save as a .mid file and email them to the phone It plays but it's saved on the phone as a ".qcp" file (whatever that is)and won't give me the option of setting as a ringtone. There has to be a way, right? Playing $3 for a ringtone is absolutely rediculous as far as I'm concerned especailly given the fact that ...

Just bought the audiovox 6600 w/ camera a few days ago and now I see THIS phone! Looks like I'll be spending more money when it comes out! Hopefully, it'll be a while so I don't feel so bad about getting rid of the 6600 after using it for such a short time. This phone just looks too good to pass up!

Wireless Modem For My Laptop???

Just wondering if I can use the XV6600 to connect my laptop to the internet. I was able to do this pretty easily with my V710 and I'm hoping I can do the same with my XV6600. And if it is possible, can you do it using an infrared connection. Thanks.

Glad I'm wrong then... A recall sounds like a good idea to me! Motorola should be embarrassed that they let this phone be sold to the public!

Re: V710 RECALL!!!!!!!!

in the Motorola V710 forum

There is no V170 recall. Mine stopped stopped recharging so I took it to my local Verizon Wireless store (Bradenton, FL) to be replaced yesterday. They were still selling the phone. In fact, due to them being out of refurbished phones (phones they give to people whos equipment is defective and still under warranty), I was given a brand new phone right out of the box. Don't know exactly where this rumor of a recall started, but it doesn't ...

The Best Brand Of Over-Lay Screen Protectors????

Anyone notice scatches (or marks that don't seem to come off) on the main screen that aprear to be caused by the number keys/buttons? I'm really confused about how & why they're getting there because the keys are smooth and rounded. Thanks for any thoughts on the matter.

Just wondering if anyone else had this problem. Had the phone for about a month. Took it back to Verizon and they game me a new replacement phone & charger right out the box. Apperantly Kyocera has a 30 day phone replacement policy on any problems you might be having with the phone.
