I work for an indirect Cingular retailer (SC Kiosks) which is in Sam's Club. We got them yesterday. So, if you're by a Sam's Club, they will more than likely have them there as well.

My store (indirect) got this phone in today. It's TINY. It feels smaller than the x105 does. Wow. The screen is decent. The UI seems to lag a bit. I didn't use it other than to look at the menus and stuff. Seems like a decent entry level phone. It has IM and Push E-Mail. Eh.

You can definitely use a recorded voice message as a ringing sound. I've done this with my 6620.

I've been told just the opposite, that it was having the same RF problems as the V600 had and it would not be carried.

I'd say look for it last week of October...yeah it's been a while since this has been posted, but, hey, I try.

According to the Cingular salesman at the mall by my house, this should be hitting stores on Monday of next week. Also, he claims the 6230 should be hitting stores in about two weeks. Only time will tell.

From what I understand, T-Mobile will be the only one with the Hiptop 2. There would be no point in 850MHz support.

Pricing and Availability The Motorola V710 is expected to be available at Verizon Wireless stores in August 2004 for $249 after a $70 rebate with a two-year service agreement. Please visit hellomoto.com/producer for more details on the Motorola V710. Yikes.

I agree somewhat. Yes, something needs to be done, but if the forum is just cleared then there will HAVE to be an influx of "When is this phone coming out" or random questions that could have been answered by previous threads. Yes I understand that most, if not all, questions could be answered by the phone info page, but I have no faith in internet users.

This is a highly misleading statement. There are plenty of good bluetooth enabled GSM phones. I own one, the Nokia 3620. I had an Ericsson T68i before it, but I don't know if I'd recommend it.

Hmm that's odd. I'm going to read up on that. I work for an inderect dealer and from what I remember when they told us about porting you couldn't port back. I saw a T-Mobile to Cingular port take place in less than 5 minutes. Same with AT&T to Cingular. I was shocked.

I just noticed on the info page that it says the phone supports Handsfree, Headset and Dialup Networking profiles. This may have been asked before but I'm using dial up right now and don't feel like going back through 100+ pages of threads to find a possible answer. Does this mean that you won't be able to send files to and from the phone ...

Unfortunately because of the amount of people we have bothering us every day, we are not going to be releasing the V710 to the public. It will only be for Verizon and Motorola representatives. Yeah, plus I'm sure they don't really know how much it is going to be used. Since they will have only released a few devices with video messaging capabilities, there is a limit to the amount of customers they will be able to service with it. Theoretically they have to make it so that every one of their customers, whether they have a video phone or not, would be able to send these messages, so upkeep of the network ...
