I'm pretty sure, to be ISIS compatable, it just needs a special sim card, and an app.

Exactly... So the carriers need to stop putting their filthy hands on the OS, and stop adding their bloatware that we don't use & don't want!! And maybe that would save the time & money it takes to get updates out to us.

I would still like to get ICS for my Droid 3... but the slow a-holes at Verizon will just ignore us now and expect me to buy a new phone... I can't afford a new phone every time Google updates Android, I want support for my current device, which is more than capable of handling ICS!! :x

Hmmm... I read very well, thank you. But I read the article again, and still think it could be taken either way. Maybe he should've said, I don't think this will cause us to lose any customers. But I'm glad you pointed that out, because now I have even more of a reason to be angry. Now I interpret this as saying, well we keep on adding fees, and taking services away, with no consequences, so why not charge ...

in the Article: Verizon Readying Price Increases for Wireless Customers forum

Shammo noted that he doesn't think the price increases will cost Verizon customers, and pointed to the company's recently implemented $30 upgrade fee. Shammo said Verizon Wireless didn't see "any impact from a customer base from that fee. 8O Sounds like he is living under a rock, and didn't read or hear about all the forum posts on Phonescoop or Verizonwireless.com from all of the customers expressing their outrage over the $30 upgrade fee, & taking away our ...

Because Verizon is the only major carrier I can get where I live. I'm glad that you enjoy & are willing to "bend over and take it", but I get tired of the big corperations bullying us around just because they can. They force things upon us, like the unlimited data plan, then when we get used to that, they take it away!! "Just 'cuz you got the power, that don't mean you got the right" - Lemme from Motorhead

*SIGH*

So now when I upgrade, (or I should say IF I upgrade) I can look forward to paying a $30 upgrade fee, and getting my unlimited data plan taken away!! Wow Verizon, just wow...

Are they trying to punish us?
Apr 12, 2012, 12:04 PM
in the Article: Verizon Implementing $30 Upgrade Fee Starting April 22 forum

An upgrade is supposed to be a discount on a new phone as an incentive to renew your contract with them. Now they are saying, we want you to renew your contract with us, but we will penalize you for doing so?? Doesn't make much sense... 8O

Alot of what you said is exactly what I was saying, only you went into more detail. And I agree, and wish we could get the updates straight from Google. But if you are saying that the Motorola Driod 3 wasn't a good phone, and wasn't very popular, then I have to strongly disagree. I own the Droid 3, and love it. I am also the manager of an indirect Verizon store, and even though our store is ...

Re: What about Droid 3??
Mar 6, 2012, 11:15 PM
in the Article: Verizon Announces Android 4.0 Update List forum

8O Wow... Just wow. First off, learn to spell, or to use spell check... Secondly, if Motorola makes such "crappy" phones, why is Google in the process of buying them? You do know that the Android operating system is by Google right?? And if you think that the big carriers don't have any say about what goes into the phones made for them, or which ones get updates, and in what order, etc, then you really are ignorant. ...

What about Droid 3??
Mar 6, 2012, 2:11 PM
in the Article: Verizon Announces Android 4.0 Update List forum

Typical Verizon behavior, update the newest phones, and an odd mix of older phones... This lack of support for EVERY phone that should get this update, and your bloatware apps that you try to push on us, is the reason that people (not me...yet) root their phones.

This strategy has the exact opposite affect on me. I will NEVER use skype, amazon mp3, city id, or Verizon back-up assistant, since they pre-installed them on my phone, and don't give me the option to remove them!! I get really tired of having to go into running services, and shutting down these unneeded, unwanted apps just so I can cut down on battery usage!
