Well, it's not GPS like you must think. With the 5550, you can't follow around anyone by tracking their phone (althought I must admit, that would be fun). The GPS is for emergency location services (i.e. 911) to be able to locate you when you call, and nothing more (unless you want your phone service provider to track you everywhere you go). You can access the GPS setting (not settings) by going to Menu-Settings-Location.

The vibe & ring option is now unavailable on LGs because it irritates most people (including myself) by taking so long to finally ring. But, the missed call beep thing can be accessed I THINK (not quiite sure) by going to Menu-Messages-Msg Settings-Msg Alerts-2 Min Alert. I just got my 5550, but I think that's what that option does. As for BREW apps, the closest you'll get is Easyedge (or maybe a data cable).

There are actually two versions of the 4400 charger. There is a desktop charger (I think it comes with the phone). However, you can go to your local phone store and buy a standard plug in (non-desktop) charger. That's what I have, and it's much more convenient. With the plug-in charger, you can talk on the phone and not look like a moron with a huge charging block on your ear! :)

To get out of Manner Mode, flip your phone open and hold down * for a few seconds. It'll put you in Vibrate All mode. Hold down * again and you'll be back to Normal Mode. Btw when the flip is closed, you can do these things by holding the Voice Dial button on the side. There ya go!

Well, you can of course change the left key to whatever you like. But the rest are hard-programmed into the phone, and are unchangeable (to my knowledge). I hope I've helped!

I had the same prob w/ the same phone (3586i user, too) and the safest way to get your service programming code is to go to your local USCC store and ask them to look it up for you. They'll be happy to do it and it'll take about 2 mins. :)

You said u can't turn the phone on to charge it. I have a 3586i too and you don't need it to be on to charge it. But you probably know that already. Just plug the charger in and wait a while.
