Re: They better release this before the iPhone 4S
Why would it be DoA? There is no iPhone on Sprint. Oh sorry, you meant 50 million customers would switch carriers to get the next gen iphone. Gotcha.
Re: Carrier IQ?
Carrier IQ is scary stuff. But what's halarious is Sprint's response to customer inquiries about it.
While working Sprint Email escallations one of my coworkers got an email asking "What is Carrier IQ and why is it installed on my Samsung Epic?" She took it to her supervisor, who also didn't know what it was, and sent an internal Email asking some higher ups in the company how to respond. 15 minutes later a department wide popup message went ...
Re: best 4g phone for a new smartphone user
Get the nexus. I absolutely love my epic, and the nexus is bascially the same phone with improvements. The main selling point for me of the epic was the physical keyboard, and samsung's swipe technology is so good I pratically never use it. While the Evo is always a solid choice the nexus has a better screen (I will never buy a non-AMOLED screen again), and the lack of bloatware from HTC and Sprint will make the phone run ...

So download launcher pro. It's better than Sense UI anyway.
Why dosen't Apple just sue everybody???
Why not? Every manufacture in business today makes the same phone: a black, rectangular phone with a large touchsceen and 1 or more buttons on the bottom. Why target the galaxy line? Because their phones have a chrome strip around the side? BS. Take a look at any android phone from HTC, Motorola, Sony or LG and you'll see they all the same basic form factor. Heck, even the Blackberry storm and Palm pre's are similar. If Apple is ...
Re: good job sprint
Agreed. I seriously doubt many T-Mobile customers will be happy about this. Just like Sprint, T-Mobile's cheaper priceplans are pratically the only reason for not going with AT&T or Verizon. Fact of the matter is there are many American's that don't care how good their covearge is outside of their city that do not want to pay $130.00/month for a phone with a data plan. The only thing this merger will acomplish is a raise in prices.
Re: Rooting risk
What Arjuun said. Just do research before you root and you'll be fine.
