Re: Mogul VS Touch

the Mogul has been aggressively advertised and promoted in the Wall Street Journal- as far as the Touch there is something about the design that is a marketing hit...not necessarily better than the Mogul because as of October 31 HTC has sold on the CDMA and GSM models over 1.5 million units and expect to hit 3 million.

I am reading that there might be a problem in the bluetooth stack where calls coming are fine but going out are choopy. I have the 6700 and thinking of going up to the Mogul but in additon to my heavy data use I use the phone a lot and need good bluetooth. Any help or feed back? Thanks-George-SLC-UT

in the Palm Treo 650 (CDMA) forum

I am on Sprint PCS on a regular phone. Through a warranty swap I can get a new Treo 650. I need a good phone but a pda also would be nice. How is this model (650)? Should I make the move and get the 650 or wait until I can afford the newer 700P or 700WX? Please any input-Thanks-George

If you want that you need to return or exchange for a Sanyo MM 7400. If they tell you its discontinue you might still find them at select Costcos- The other alternative would be to read in PC World page 61 October's issue about unlocking your phone. Unfortunately the Sanyo MM 8300 isn't currently set to act as a modem. I exchanged mine back for a new Sanyo MM 7400 and its works great, a little ...

Sprint: Sanyo 9000: Evolution In Data, Or Yawn-In-Motion? Details of the Sanyo 9000, in addition to some very blurry pictures have begun to leak onto the web. The Sanyo 9000 will build on the MM-5600 with an improved camera, EV-DO, and other minor improvements such as Voice SMS. Sprint expects this device to be a mid-range EV-DO device, in-between the likes of the A920 and A940, and should be available around the launch of EV-DO as an initial/near-launch device. So, ...

I'm in the same boat as you. A rep at corporate for Futuredial said they had an excellent relationship with Sanyo and were planning on supporting it in SnapDialer but probably some time out. I must also say that this is his comment and I don not represent FutureDial nor have any privilege information.

Sprint: Sanyo MM-5600 Blocking #777 Posted on Sunday, March 13 @ 19:39:16 MST by Christopher_Price When we reported on PictBridge, a new technology in the Sanyo MM-5600, we mentioned that you would need to change a setting to re-enable the ability to use the phone as a modem. However, the released version of the MM-5600 even with the Modem setting enabled cannot be used as a modem. This appears to be ...

Sprint answer is not always the case. Historically when a Sanyo phone shows up its out the door in 30 days. Look for the 2nd to the 3rd week in January 05. It should be a leading phone in camera and other features.-geoiii

Sanyo and Sprint

I am disappointed to read the last couple of comments. They’re on an agenda. I have been with Sprint since Dec.99 and the service is great and Sprint has consistently led in wireless data development. Incidentally if you need a good durable phone with good picture quality for its optics and a very good speaker phone the Sanyo is sure to be a winner.

in the Sanyo SCP-5500 / VM-4500 forum

Hi there, your comments are very interesting. I just purchased a Sanyo VM 4500 "Silver” haven't taken delivery of it yet from a reputable seller on EBay. Is the recall color specific (Blue or Silver) or I'm wondering after reading your review if I should have gone for the new Samsung VM A680 instead? One other question, if I keep the phone and have any issues is Sprint okay to deal with on the swap? -Thanks George-SLC-Utah
