The only problem is the NVFS file system, which takes up LOTS of memory. Apparently PalmOne has committed to a ROM update to fix this (see TreoCentral http://www.treocentral.com/content/Stories/49 4-1.htm) in addition to offering a free 128 MB memory card in the meantime. Otherwise, this phone blows the 600 out of the water. Great screen, better mail software (than my Verizon phone, which was a nightmare).

I ordered my 650 from PalmOne, with the $99 BT headset for $599. The PalmOne folks AND the Sprint folks assure me that when the phone comes in and I activate, I will get a $150 mail in rebate, bringing the price down to $450.

I just spent over 3 hours on the phone with Verizon about my Treo 600, and the fact that it won't reliably download email attachments with Wireless Sync. Their customer service SUCKS. I spoke to at least 5 people, each of whom gave me a different answer. One person promised to refund my money if the THIRD Treo they sent didn't solve the problem. The next person told me that the first person didn't have the authority to do ...

I love the TREO's keyboard. I used to have a Tungsten C, and virtually never used the graffiti on that, so the TREO keyboard isn't a problem to me. It's a bit smaller than the Tungsten, but works really well.

My main email is through a POP server. I have that automatically pushing mail to the TREO. My hospital uses a proprietary email client, that I can't access externally. They don't use Exchange server. Hope this explains things better.

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but when using the web browser, specifically in the Handango site, whenever I enter one or two characters from the keyboard, the entire palm reboots.

I personally prefer the push email, although, if I'm not mistaken, you can configure the sync on the Treo to not automatically push email. In addition, the VZW sync will definitely support a third party pop client. That's what I'm doing.

That's exactly the problem they told me - that the Wireless Sync isn't compatible with Outlook 2003.

When I try to install the PC monitor (on either a home or work PC, both running Windows XP professional) after going to Setup, selecting "individual monitor" entering my VZW phone number and password, I get an error box that says "Unable to open Outlook Address book." The work machine is behind a firewall, but the home machine is not. This is a problem during the installation. Thanks

I just got my TREO from Verizon, and love it. They are advertising, however, wireless synchronization to Outlook on the desktop. Unfortunately, their support people (after trying for several days to find someone who knew what he was talking about) told me that this isn't compatible with Outlook 2003. This really sucks.

Anyone heard any more info about the Treo and Verizon? Also, what's the difference between the 600 and 610? Bluetooth???? Camera??? Thanks for any info.
