AT&T will deny knowing anything about it (if they really did at all), strip said companies license and call it a day. :P
what a cluster... (cellone to att migration issues)
the whole c1/att merger deal.. who comes up with these ideas? customers calling in all pissed off because their att account is suspended due to non-pay on their final (or 2nd to final) bills.. nice of cellone to xfer over credit balances over to the new att account, but why not just xfer over the remaining balanced owed on the prior account as well, which would save the customer from getting shut off and being billed a reconnect ...

I dont know if this is a similar issue to the ones your talking about but it pissed me off just the same. I work in customer care, and the other day I get an email from a store rep with a bunch of other care reps names cc'd in the email as well. The email stated that the feature changes made by myself and all the other cc'd reps names were changes out of the retail reps name ...

yes if you buy it from us, it should have the settings pre-installed. if not, customer care can send them to your phone. just dont call from the phone. :)

Had a customer today with a BB 7100G and he was experiencing a lot of congestion in his area. His T-Mobile work phone works just fine. I was going to go back there and get a test phone b/c I know there are options to change preferred networks.. Talked with a lead to see if we even had test BB devices and he asked what for. I told him what I wanted to do and ...

I've never had an issue finding employment with another company do to this agreement. They just basically want to make sure you arent giving away proprietary information to their competitors.

I dont know if you were perfectly happy with the AT&T Wireless to Cingular merger. I for one wasnt. I had been with AT&T Wireless for 4.5 years, Cingular came in and made some changes that I didnt care for.. the Transfer stat is the one that killed me. Reps are in for a rude awakening when/if we do move to AT&T.. moving from a customer base of 1.7M customers to over 60M.. BIG ...

Yeah, AT&T Wireless had an Unlimited plan.. I think it was $99.xx month. Not bad considering it was a national plan. Boy, they fought and did everything the could to get people off those plans. Well, with Cellular One I have to say it seems like customers get a lot more help on a personal level. When a ticket is filed or something, theres usually something done about the issue, and a response/note on the acct within 48 hours. When I was with AT&T / Cingular, you put in a ticket and you didnt know what was going to happen. I dont see how the network can improve much more with the acquisition. ...

hope i can hold out that long. our "in-house" quality is killing me.
its been a while since i worked for cingular, but if its anything like it was when i was there (approx 2 years ago), they wouldnt notice if another 1.7 mil customers dropped into their customer base as far as customer care calls go. we were in que almost all day, every day.
I think I might stand on the side of the street with a sign that says: Looking for handouts. At least I'm honest! God Bless! Actually I'll probably apply at Cox Communications. If that doesnt pan out, maybe try at Dell.. if no go there either, I'm getting the hell out of call center work. :lol:
