You mean: T-Mobile - #1 in Customer Service 3 Years on a Row!
Mar 28, 2006, 10:23 PM
in the T-Mobile forum

Ok, here's the part where you need to realize that you should READ the contract you sign. In the T-Mobile Terms & Conditions of Service, Paragraph 4, "The Return Period is 14 calendar days from the date of Service activation.... Even if you cancel Service, you must pay all Service and other charges incurred prior to cancellation." So, to be surprised that you have to pay for the days your service was activated is your own fault! ...

Holy wow! I've worked for T-Mobile Customer Care for 3 1/2 years and I've never heard of someone being jerked around that badly. I want to apologize on behalf of T-Mobile Sales, even thought I've never worked in that department. What another person said is true: a lot of dealers will hold on to the last 1 or 2 of a phone because they make more off the commission of a new activation than on an upgrade. Hope you ...

Okay, first of all, I don't know a single COMPANY that doesn't charge for Express Shipping - HELLO, you want it faster, you have to pay . And yes, the delay for all shipping is a little longer right now because of these little things you may have heard of called Holidays. America has to even take the time to make one on a Monday when they fall on a weekend. Got a problem with that, contact your ...

Okay, I can't quite figure out why all the guys are whining about this phone, it's MARKETED FOR FEMALES. If you're a guy and don't like it, DON'T BUY THE PHONE. But please cut out the idle pratter about how stupid it is. Have you seen the N-Gage? Talk about a waste of money, but hey, guys can play video games and talk on the phone (at different times). OOOHHHH. :o Anyway, if the phone works, leave ...

As someone who's worked for T-Mobile for over 3 years, I can tell you that we do everything we can to NOT send people to Indirect dealers. Anytime reps refer customers to a dealer, it's supposed to be to a T-Mobile Direct dealer since Indirect dealers can't really help anyone but new customers. Sometimes customers are sent to you guys because there are no direct dealers close enough. Sometimes we tell people to go to a direct store and ...

Unfortunately for you, you're wrong. New phones out within the last 6 months: Nokia-6010; Nokia-6600; Motorola-V300; Samsung-E105; Samsung-E715. New phones to be released within the next month: Nokia-6800; Motorola-V600; Samsung-D415 (Slider); Siemens CF62T; Sony-Ericsson GC79 GPRS/Wi-Fi PC Card. Wow...what a long list of new and useful phones T-Mobile has already put out and are soon to put out, again within the last 6 months... No new phones in almost a year? Check your calendar again.

This new program is called the "Multiple Exchange" program. All you need to do is call in to customer care, let the representative know you're having probs and this would be your fourth exchange and that you wanted to look at getting a different phone instead of the same phone again. We developed the program specifically for situations such as this. :)

CONGRATS, T-Mobile! :D And just so the rest of you know, T-Mobile doesn't give out half as many credits as Verizon to keep their customers happy. Verizon is legendary for saying, "Oh, you're service is bad? You don't like your phone? Well, here's $50 and how about extending your contract for 2 more years to get a new phone (that's just a crappy)." Also, I would love it if nights started at 7pm...but then customers would start asking ...

Actually, with our HSE program, we are only authorized to send out a replacement phone of the SAME model. The only exception is if you're calling in for your 3rd or more HSE within a 90-day period (no exceptions), then we can look at the possibility of getting you a different phone model. :D

Jul 2, 2004, 7:10 PM

I know this new 7-day policy stinks. I work for T-Mobile, just upgraded my phone, and can't have the ftr. But if you think about it, you could go 2 years without any loss or damage to your phone, and you've paid $96 for Equipment Protection (which is the cost of some phones outright). Retail & Sales Representatives are supposed to be on the ball and offer this feature when you're signing up for service...MOST do, but some ...

That's right, I didn't....because they're not in the top 4...well, maybe they will be once the merger between Cingular and AT&T is complete. I considered going to Cingular, but then I realized that, despite all the great advertising, they don't offer coverage in the state of Oregon.

First of all, until fall of 2003, T-Mobile only had 1 Family Plan available, $69.99/mo, and you didn't have the option of nights. The fact that we now offer 3 different Family Rate plans and have the option of Unlimited Nights (regardless of when they start) is a BIG step up. When it cones to Unlimited Mobile2Mobile not working on another carrier's towers, this is going to happen with ANY carrier. In order for a call to rate as ...

Jul 1, 2004, 8:16 PM

Also, I wanted to add that alot of Indirect stores only offer a 3-day return policy (obviously not your store), and we've had some problems with that. Likewise, we've dealt with Indirect dealers encouraging customers to cancel with T-Mobile and sign up with a different carrier (that they support in their store) to get a better deal on phones. At customer care, we recognize that there are honest Indirect stores out there, but you guys are few and far ...

SORRY!! I forgot that Indirect Dealers now have the ability to upgrade, as well. But, as far as existing customers go, ALL customers are supposed to be offered the same price through the Handset Upgrade Program once they qualify for maximum discount, no matter which store they go to. :)

Ok, first of all, you DO NOT want to purchase online. Websites only offer deals to NEW customers, and if you try to purchase a phone this way, you'll wind up with an entirely new line of service, new phone number, and new activation fee! Always go through Customer Care (1-800-937-8997 or 611 from your handset) or any T-Mobile Direct Retail Store (by Direct I mean no wireless stores, just stored that sell ONLY T-Mobile products and services). ...

Unfortunately, at this time T-Mobile doesn't offer a discount to USPS employees. We do have a large list of companies that we offer a discount to, but it seems we have not extended to the USPS. I can tell you, though, that T-Mobile offers better rate plans and ftrs with ONLY 1 YEAR contracts than any other company. So, no discount, but you'll pay less anyway!

Re: Upgrade problem with t-mobile
Jun 21, 2004, 7:53 PM
in the T-Mobile forum

Hey, I just wanted to let you know the reason why the Online price is so much lower than the Upgrade Price is because it says "WEB-ONLY REBATE" which, even if a brand new customer walks into a retail store, they would not get that price. We can't always match the prices online, but the majority of our phones ARE available at same as new customer pricing, as long as you meet the now simplified qualifications: 12-months on a ...

:? Hmmmm...According to JD Power & Associates, T-Mobile was rated #1 in Overall Customer Satisfaction for 2003...Not to mention that just because T-Mobile doesn't have their own towers in every state, doesn't mean they don't have fantastic coverage. ALL but one of T-Mobile's rate plans are NATIONWIDE at NO extra cost, which means even if you're roaming on another carrier's towers ANYWHERE in the US, you will NOT be charged any additional fees. Not to mention more minutes ...

Re: ? about contract renewal w/ Verizon
Apr 30, 2004, 1:10 AM

Forget Verizon. T-Mobile offers a better selection of phones, and better customer service, with a ONE YEAR CONTRACT ONLY. T-Mobile offers the best deal possible with a 1-year contract, every other carrier tries to stick you with a 2-year contract for a "better deal." I think the better deal is your ability to choose your wireless carrier without having to sign your life away. Who knows where you'll be one year from now, let alone TWO. P.S. You can ...

I live in Portland area and have had T-Mobile Wireless for over a year. I LOVE T-MOBILE! I have never had a complaint about the coverage. I can walk into the depths of Powell's bookstore and still keep talking. I took my phone with me on a drive up to Seattle, and never dropped reception. Not to say that T-Mobile's perfect (NO Wireless carrier is perfect), but let me put it to you this way: If you go into ...
