The phone doesn't shut off completely. The camera won't take pictures at all--not even the ones with the lines. Pocket Explorer works intermitently.

No, it hasn't. If you set an alarm in your calendar for an event, it'll keep going off until you dismiss. Yet, there''s no sren alarm like in the other Motos to get your attention.

I'm glad you're getting your full potential. I'm not. The phone won't sync with my Exchange Server. Before I had lines with my pictures, now the camera and some of the other functions won't work and these people at Cingular keep telling me it's Motorola's problem and to get them to fix it. :( :( :( :( :( :(

Mpx 220 is a smartphone, whereas the MPX is an integrated PDA--more or less a pocket PC with a keyboard. Do a comaprison. It's up to you--depending on what you want or need the phone to do for you to make your life easier personally and/or professionally.

External LCD Display Pix
I have placed some pictures into my LCD folder. The pictures are jpg files. Yet, when I click on these pictures for the external lcd, it goes to the default picture. I also took some pictures with the camera on the phone and put those pictures into the LCD folder, as well and I notice that also goes to the default pictures as well. Any suggestions? Has anyone tried this?

You're in the same boat as me. I just called Cingular XMB within the last 30 minutes and they told me to take the phone back to BB and request the upgraded version. Hmm....

Could I get some assistance with the syncing? After my computer is on and I connect my phone, it connects to Active Sync, then in the middle it stops and says error. I have the latest version of Active Sync. I'm using Windows XP. I have uninstaled and reinstalled the ActiveSync software 5 times and I'm still getting an error.

The normal SD card won't fit into the MPX 220. The mini ones have an adapter where you can convert the infomation from it to a regular SD card. I read this on one of the online stores that I was looking at purchasing a mini SD card. I haven't purchased yet. I think that I was at Mobile Planet. I'm not sure now. I did a search on the web, as well.

My phone is only 4 days old. The rep at the number above told me that I need to return the phone to BB. The rep said that they only handle phones that are 2 months old plus. This doesn't help me. I'm still confronted with the issue that my phone won't sync with outlook on my computer and the troubleshooting uide doesn't help me. I'll be calling in for this new firmaware, as well being that I just purchased this phone on Wednesday. I have noticed that if your Bluetooth is on or your in profile headset, then you'll get te lines in your pictures. I noticed low volume in my bluetooth headset (motorola hs 820), but I adjusted the volume there, as well as on the handset and I haven't had any problems. I'm only having problems syncing outlook ...

Sync Problems
I'm having problems syncing my phone with Outlook on my computer. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Active Sync software three times and still unable to sync. Can anyone with this phone assist me? I spoke to Cingular's tech support today and the gentleman told me that's not Cingular's porblem. It's a Motorola problem and for me to call them. Why do they offer the insurance and tell you that you need it; otherwise, you'll have to purchase another phone at your own expense? I got that same pitch from Cingular and insured a Treo, Blackberry, and now MPX 220. Same thing with ATT Wireless. I pay a fee each month and can show you the charge on the bill. I don't know if the windows based verion of the razr will be made sturdier, but the current version is like a play toy. I can see a lot of insurance claims on that model. The current version has no features for the price. The price has to be just because it's so thin.

You're anything not missing with T-Mobile. Their service sucks. I travel up and down the East coast and when I had T-mobile (now have Cingular), I had more dropped calls and no service than I did with Sprint PCS. Imagine that??

Isn't that something...I was in the store on Saturday and the rep said that they weren't getting it. He said that it wasn't showing up in their inventory. Yet, I have read in some other online publications earlier that Cingular was due to get this phone.

Once the 650 arrives, I'm going to give it a try. I'm impressed that the Blackberry 7290 is smaller and bluetooth unlike the Blackberry that I had previously with Nextel.
