Defective Equipment

Does Verizon have a policy regarding defective equipment? I've had an LG 8100 since August, and since about mid-september I've had tons of problems with it. I'm on my 3rd phone, and now I'm having problems with the phone's battery. Is there a policy that would allow me to get a new phone if I've had persistent problems with my phone?

Is this phone going to be tri-band or dual-band for Cingular, because on Samsung's site, I was looking at the user guide, and it said it was "Tri/Dual Band". Does that mean that Cingular could offer either one? I was just wondering because I travel sometimes and having a tri-band phone is a feature I would like.

Why is it that CDMA phones don't have SIM cards that are transferable to GSM phones. It just seems strange to me, since it would be so easy to do, but yet noone does it.

I'm sure this has been discussed numerous times, but I'm going to bring it up again. What exactly is the upgrade policy at Verizon. I understand that you can't use the $100 credit that you get with the New Every 2 program unless you wait until your contract is up, but if you're willing to pay the regular price that they offer the phone for, how long do you have to wait? When I bought my phone in february (samsung a530) I wasn't sure about it being all digital, but the sales rep. told me within a year or two analog wouldn't b used anymore

if verizon wants to stay on top they need to get some more feature rich phones that will appeal to the younger generation (and some older people) it appears that these people are looking for more bells and whistles and cheaper prices

yea its a setting, if you have it set to that it will do that, but you dont have to set it to that you can choose to open it and press sned to answer it

yes the caller id displays the name if its in the phone book on the outside, and on the inside if its closed, if the number isn't in the phone book it will just show the number

does anyone know the exact date yet?

if you like the size of the 8600 try the samsung a530 i've had it for about 2 months and i absolutley love it! the phone book is easy to use and i haven't had one problem
