no it adjust automaticly to the atmosphere setting. for instance, if its dark, then the phone camera will brighten up. if its really bright like sun bright, then the camera will dim automacticly so you can capture the best quality picture.

when you take pictures, try not to move the phone right after you capture it until you hear the picture sound or wait about 2 seconds before moving the phone. what happens is while you taking a pic, the phone has to be still so that it may capture the picture correctly.
If you are still having problems after that, then contact your service provider to further assist you.
