Without a megapixel camera, or other up-to-date features this just isn't a winner. You need to be innovative to be in demand.
Re: No Video Calling = bad 3g
I know I am late to this forum but... Cingular's 3G network is only in use on the west coast, usually in the larger metropolitan areas. They have spent a ton of money, in excess of $5B to get it up and running. It makes no sense to invest in a huge inventory of phones with numerous bells and whistles until the reception of the 3G product is analyzed and the company can legitimately project sales and demand.Besides the ...
Re: im not a fan
First of all it's "their" not,." Secondarily Nokia has 30% of the world market, I believe they have found their "niche." The world market dwarfs the domestic market in the states.
If you consider buying a decent digital camera and a decent cell phone, together $700-$900 could seem reasonable. When an Ipod sells for $400 and all it does is play songs/store info, the expenditure seems justified.Products that simplify communication are worth every penny in a business atmosphere. 8O
Re: Buyer Beware: Non-standard RS-MMC card slot!

Re: Don't jump to conclusions...
Yeah Samsung and LG are huge. Samsung has maybe 8% of the world market and LG less than 5%, they are really taking over. Nokia had 30% in 2002 and 28.5% in 2003.The lack of clamshell design was the biggest factor in any erosion, addressing this issue will go a long way in firming their position. They also have a huge lead in the operating platforms outside of the Blackberry/Palm type units. :D
Re: Reminds me of...
Having the lion's share of the worldwide wireless market, I believe when Nokia introduces their "clamshell" it will make a big splash.Others will follow. 8)
