I was really interested in getting this phone, and I thought for sure it was going to be out before the share plan thing was going to start. But I am so glad I went for the Samsung S3. I heard it had a great camera so I went for it (I always had great experience with HTC camera phones so wanted it but so glad I got the s3) I figured the math out for ...

I like that the this phone is staying at 4" screen and not bigger. The only thing is the camera, I am a bit upset that the HTC one will have a better camera. Everything else I am happy about, I actually do not like the huge sizes phones are going and think the 4" is in between being too small and too large. I got an iPad and a Kindle Fire, don't need another tablet ...

I did, I got this phone and turned in my Incredible. I live in Brooklyn, NY, so I have steady 4G coverage. I actually thought the Incredible had worse battery life then this Thunderbolt. I got the extended 2750 battery for the Incredible and so I got it for the Thunderbolt too. It actually makes less of difference on the Thunderbolt then the Incredible. Because the Incredible felt like a think light phone and ...

I actually love the idea of cell phones. Before they came out I couldn't stand the idea of having to stay at home to wait for a phone call. That concept for me or excuse for anyone else is a thing of the past and for me it is by far very liberating. In NYC kids start in 5th grade being allowed to take public transportation on their own to school, so that is around ...

huge bill

Hi I am one of those with a huge bill. I have a treo 650 and I am pretty sure I got it because I was trying to send a MMS picture msg which did not work and kept sending the same msg over and over again. I did not know that this counts towards data or minutes or something. Plus it did not work, the pic msg kept sending and sending and did not work. ...

What real estate software do you use? Just curious. Actually I have the treo 650 and my husband who is a real estate agent has a samsung i730. So i have been playing with both. I have been using Palm OS now for a very long time, years, since palm was US Robotics Pilot. So I will not switch to windows mobile. The things I have noticed is overall I like PalmOS better more ...

I used to have a treo 600 and upgraded to the treo 650. To use the internet I would set networking preference to dial up my ISP. It worked on my 600 but is not working on my 650. I set it up the same way so i am wondering if anyone else has this problem and knows how to make it work.

Hi does anyone know if the bluetooth headphones work better or worse on either phone or the same. My husband has the i730 but has not used bluetooth headphones with it. A lot of people have the treo650's at his office and say the bluetooth headphones aren't that great. Just wondering if that would be the same for the i730.

I have a treo 600. Also if for some reason, which happened to my 600 once, a hard reset happens and everthing is lost, when you hotsync it everything is restored, and I mean everything. All the 3rd party software and additional installs get installed back into your phone and all your preferences get put back, ring selections, sound preferences, call history, everything, like nothing happened. This is a first for me because all my regular ...

Is it per MB or kilobyte. WHen I called in for my treo 600 they said it was so many cents for KB which was outragous. Meaning it made no sense to use it unless you get the unlimited. But $45ish extra dollars a month is also a lot. I know that calling up my own ISP uses minutes but I only check things and I can write/read emails offline. Also on weekends and ...

Hi presently I have a treo 600 and to use the interent I have it dial into my own ISP phone number and therefore forgo the data charges. I do not know anything about windows PDA software, so I was wondering if this had the same option of a network setting option to be able to dial in my own ISP and therefore forgoing the verizon wireless data call that I know dials 777 or something like that.

Ok I used to have a kyocera 6035 and then I went to regular flip phones and now I just got a treo 600. They have changed a lot so as to not let you use the internet unless you pay 15c per K or $44.95 unlimited or somewhere sort of inbetween. Well with a regular cell phone you get $4.99 unlimited access so I am stunned, flabergasted, disgusted at this. THe old kyo 6035 smartphone had included ...

Re: Recording ringtones

You can make them sound alright. You have to play with the distance of the phone microphone to the source until it sounds best. This phone needs to be very close to the source to sound ok. It is the opposite of the 7000, when the 7000 recorded to close to the source it sounded distorted.

I have not found any that are good quality that you pay for? Not from any Get it Now places, the ringtones are terrible arrangements of songs, they all sound cheesie to me. Does anyone have recomendations of ringtones that are not arranged cheesily?

I live in Brooklyn and VCast has never been good for me and whenever I try it while I am out and about in the city it still isn't good. Takes forever to get to the home screen and then loading the video takes a while. It is fun but not worth $15/month for me especially because of the long times of downloads.

I live in Brooklyn, the call reception is good, no problems. The EVDO tho is not that great. In my house it does not work, it always goes in and out therefore making the download times for the video take forever and then it always has to rebufer. Whenever I try the EVDO it never works that well.

Try messing around with the ISO settings for the blurry ness of moving subjects. The higher the ISO the less blurryness you will get for moving subjects but the picture is a bit more grainy. I haven't figured out how to get the flash not to make people blue. Maybe try the white balance.

I noticed some of you have remarked on the camera showing motion to much for live subjects. I noticed this to and it did bother me, it does do it more then the 7000. But if you go into the ISO setting and change it from automatic to ISO 800 it helps with this matter, it gives you a faster shutter speed so less motion is shown. The thing is, is that 800 is a ...

Ok I found it, it is on the page website where you look at get tones and stuff. Of course there is a charge for this function. $1.99 per year and .99c per month so I would look into this if you don't wnat the extra charge if you have this feature and they just put it on without asking you (This feature only in parts of CA). This is the weirdest thing! So like when I call someone through the phone I hear it ringing, so you are saying instead of ringing that your hear music? Anyway if this is the case I would assume that it is not on the phone where you would change it but in the menu of where you deal with your voicemail. This is just a hunch.

Actually I had the 7000, still have it in my possesion and now have the 8000. The size is a bigger difference in real life then it seems on paper. The 8000 is considerably wider and a decent amount taller then the 7000. In fact when you open up the phone to use the keypad buttons they are so much larger on the 8000. No picture ID on the outer screen. you also can't put your photos as wallpaper on the outer screen. The vx8000 has all of this, Picture ID on the outer screen, your pictures as wallpapers on the outerscreen. Not only that but you can view your text messages and your gallery from the outerscreen and your mp3s. Great phone the 8000 eventho it is a bit large. I got the 8940 first because of ...

Ok if you decide not to pay the $15/month, but to pay just the $4.99 for the web is this web at EVDO spead or just the 1xrt speed it used to be. I live in Brooklyn, NY and the VCAST isn't that great. The EV sign goes in and out and it is kind of slow, the whole process to view videos, opening up the Get Flix and then the video and then downloading the video, and then while it is playing it sometimes has to stop and rebuffer. How is everyone else finding VCAST? Is it worth the $15/month? I am doing the 2 months free ...

THe outside LCD on the 8000 is awesome. THe picture ID comes up, you can also set your pictures as wallpapers on the outside LCD and they look great. I also got the 8940 but returned it because the outside LCD is just a color version of the monotone LCDs.

Well I returned the 8940 for the 8000. I was so used to the 7000 and the 8940 didn't even compare to that. The size of it is great and it does feel sturdy but the 7000 and 8000 are much better phones. For instance the picture id on the 8940 does not work for the outer display. The inner display picture id only works if you have the flip set to not answer, useless. ...
