Apple will not be developing a phone so small that the standard sim cannot fit.
If they wanted to they could have made enough space on the iPhone 4, and for sure could have made space on the iPad.

I also fine with Apple, Nokia, etc doing their best to padlock their software, but they should understand when they accept my money for a phone. Its not their phone anymore its MINE. PERIOD. Between me and the carrier, a contract covers that. The physical phone that's a different story.

if you have a spare unlocked triband phone I suggest you bring it along and purchase a prepaid Tel-Cel/movie star sim when you arrive. Even with a mexican plan through ATT you have the potential to get an arm and a leg chopped off with roaming charges, depending on how you use your phone. I suggest bring it along, dont answer just use it as a pager and use the prepaid mexican sim to make calls.

Where did you order the phones from then? I dont quite understand that fact that you have been waiting so long for your order to come in and yet cant cancel on something you haven't gotten in the first pace.
Helio is ESN based they can't complete the activation without the phone, therefor if they haven't received the phone, all they need to do is hit cancel on their keyboard. I'm guessing its them not wanting to lose a customer/activation, ...

If you want the Ocean, the best time is now. There is a $100 rebate and they are being sold with contract at the lowest prices ever. If you want the Ocean 2 Im hearing it will come out mid June.
Its your call. As for performance issues best way to find out is just to try it out. You have 30 days to see if you really like it or not.

hellowireless1 whether Helio goes down or not I can't tell you for sure, its still too early to tell. I know a few things though having their customer service transfer to the Philippines is not one of the reasons. It is actually a big step up from their previous call centers.

Sk Telecom (the parent cmopany of Helio) has dedicated itself to a 5 year money losing deal. Helio is at year 2, go figure it out. Sk has also made attempts to invest 5 BILLION bux into Sprit. People with that kind of money are in another league when it comes to capital investment.

Ive got the Ocean when it first came out. I just recently had it replaced with a new one because it started to freeze up and had trouble getting online. Helio helped me, no issues at all and replaced it for free under manufacturer's warantee. My new Ocean now seems faster and better then my previous one, and I couldn't be happier.

In the store you got it at, in the very minute you purchased the product, you didnt notice that the phone was defective? Upon activating it, you need to enter an activation code, you need to open the phone, were you really that dumb not to notice?

Independent Stores, whats the problem?
I work for an Independent Store. For the life of me I dont understand why the carriers are so mad at what we do. It started with Tmobile First not allowing us to activate OEM/non-tmobile phones in the begining of the month then changing policies to allow them mid-month. Then the following month not pay any commission on contract extensions. I thought its just Tmos way of saying we're a cheap ass carrier until....
