Re: Nextel and Sprint's PTT compatable
In order for Nextel and Sprint to be compatible, Nextel would have to allow Sprint to use QChat, which I read is compatible with iDEN.
But I think this is unlikely to happen.
Re: New PTT improvement???
I think I remember reading from somewhere that Verizon was in talks with Kodiak to provide the rereleased PTT service. If I can find the link, I will post it.
Re: New PTT improvement???
Is it not possible for another company to create a PTT solution similar to Qchat? Or would a solution similar to Qchat violate the patents held by Quallcomm?
How long does Nextel have the rights for Qchat?
LG phones and their ability to hold a signal
With my LG VX6000, I notice that the signal periodically drops off. It could be during a call or while the phone is idle. I noticed this happens on the VX3100 as well. But it didn't happen when I used the Motorola V60c.
Is this an issue with LG phones?
Re: new pust to talk phones
Is Kodiak's RTX as fast as Quallcomm's Q Chat?
Re: new pust to talk phones
The new PTT phones will be the Samsung A690, Motorola T300p, and the Kyocera Phantom KX440/444. The three phones are under phones section of this site.
I am hoping the Motorla V65P is released too as that is the one I want to get.
Re: new pust to talk phones
I asked two different Verizon agents at two different stores, and both said the new push to talk phones will be out in May with a revamped system.
V65p
Why is there no mention of the V65p on Phonescoop? It was announced at the same time as the T300p as the next generation of CDMA PTT phones from Motorola.
I am hoping the V65p would be released at or around the same time as the T300p.
Does anyone have any information as to whether or not Verizon would release the V65p?
