Menu > Settings > System > NAM Set > Auto NAM > Set to yes (6-4-3-1-yes). This works only as long as your phone is on, once you power off then on again, the setting is lost. Setting this to "Auto NAM" should not have any side effects. For those who don't know what NAM is: Number Assignment Module. The NAM is the electronic memory in the wireless phone that stores the telephone number and an electronic serial number.
