HP touch pad review: day 1
I have been playing on it all day while at work.
i must say its the best $99 tablet out now.
Like i said before I have not had much exp. with webOS
I love the "flick" to stop apps web page.
the feel of the pad is awsome nice and sleek.
I have been using my HTC thubderbolt as a hot spot, It keeps a connection well
Web surfing, picturs and music are done well, the speakers ...
The people that do wrong seem to live forever
O/S2 was FAR superior to windows but died off..support issue
and now webOS. its was awsome for tablets. and on paper is far superior to Android.
I was able to get a tablet for $99 today tho and regret not using webOS more.

Never bought an HP product before...But at $99 for a tablet I had to scoop one :)

I get about 4 hours TOPS when im streaming.
Love the WiFi tether. I too get the best speeds using Tom Codon also its the only one I use. Dual Booting is the best. the main reason I went Android, the wify has the Iphone(that is cool to just less "after market" options) :D

I agree the price for data should be about $10~$15 for 2GB.
Here in Hamton Roads the whole network was down for about 4hrs at one point...NO SERVICE the 2 days later the 4G went down in other places.

Everybody keeps talking about Data caps...
Verizon has Data caps now true.
But who is on Tired data?? 95% of people that have VZW have unlimited cuz they have had their plans before that cap came into effect(use WiFi) :roll:. If u want to get on VZW talk about how you can't unlock the phones or something else or how high they are :roll:
yes I do work for Verizon but...I have alot of friends who work for other providers and I have 2 that work ...

I was living in Dayton back then. But something happened and Ohio Bell ws no more and Cincy bell was still there.

Glad I did my upgrade already.
I dont care much for data caps. When I first heard of this i went around my store and had prople pull up their data usage (witch is in KB oddly...anyway) Most people ARE under 2GB true and using WIFI helps.
When we had a MAJOR storm and the power was out for 2.5 days I used almost 8GB of Data on my Thunderbolt (TV,Web) and RE-Activated my Incredible just for Netflix.

The Military has an ebb and flow of people coming from other places that have 4G than come to a MAJOR base in Va and have no 4g.
I spent 6 yrs in the Navy and I can tell you when you go from a small town that has something a LARGE city doesn't it makes you think what ...

I hope the Phones get better.
the 3 they have on there are not really all that good. What type of person that uses the web on THOSE phones.
Currently at the LEAST for the First Moto droid is $85 per month pre pay ($44.99 450 min, $30 for Data and $10 for 250 texts)
so any change would be welcome.

there are 100s of ways to get music without being billed. The Android market has 3 REALLY good ones. Not to bring up the 100s of websites.

the phone will die overnight in sleep mode..why.. I changed all the settings and put it in airplane mode, why should I have to do that?? the phone is nice tho :?
Talking and surfing
I see alot of peole talking about that(Talking and surfing) in the Verizon I phone reviews. who really does that enough for it to be a factor. I think of it as more of a "I can do this couse I can" type thing other than something that would be a deal breaker.
I never have the urge to surf while I talk anyway. thats just me tho 8)

yea its a candybar style phone. Its sweet if you dont want all of the extra(normal)things of the avaerage phone today. sometimes a cell phone is just a phone....Nokia still sells a million of these a year.

great phone for a kid
Just got these in stock a couple of weeks ago.
activated and played with it for a day.
just a basic phone. good for a kid who doesn't : do a whole lot on his/her phone but text.
