You can only set ringtones for phone contacts, not gmail contacts. This phone separates them. The gmail account contacts do not have an option to set a ringtone. You can import the gmail contacts into the phone and then link them together and then set the ringtone for the phone contact. Lots of work. Not sure what Samsung was thinking when they came up with this scheme.
