yeah i wasn't expecting the price to go up..if anything i would think it would go down. bummer. The best buy website has it at 129.99 but its sold out. Does anyone know if you can buy phones from Best Buy even if you're an existing Verizon customer? And can you take the phone back within 15 days like at Verizon Stores? Thanks

Sorry if this has already been answered but i was wondering if I had all my pictures and ringtones on my memory card, then remove my memory card...will the pix and tones be removed from all my settings?..it makes sense...but is there any way to connect to the memory card using a USB data cable so i would not have to remove the card?

$270 retail price?

I read on a thread about the 9800 that you can get the 8100 for 270..its this true?..last time i checked it was 400+.

I HATE that verizon is standardizing their menu systems...with a phone like this, the menus and graphics (wallpaper, screensaver, etc.) could be really neat..3D perhaps..i don't know. But this phone has the exact SAME menu as the lg vx7000. I wish verizon didn't go with this stupid "user friendly" menu...the red and gray bars are STILL on the main screen and you can't change the color. ugh

actually adding MP3s to the 8000 through a data cable and using Bitpim was quite easy and not expensive..i bought a 5 dollar data cable including shipping and i was able to transfer MP3s on to my phone and have them play when you hit the play button on the front of the phone.

ARe the menus the same as the 7000 and the 8000?...and also have made the phone so that you take off those red bars at the top and bottom..or at least change the colors?..thanks!

Does anybody know the full retail price of the phone?..also does anyone know if the menus are the same as the 8k and 7k?...the stock wallpaper on the 8100 look different. Thanks!

I have not heard any info about this phone coming to the US...but i saw this phone at a korean phone store in philly the other day...it was for verizon..but had korean and american letters on the keypad..i'm guessing it was just imported from korea...it was $400 with contract and $600 without...woah :roll:

Is the external caller id picture smaller than the external caller id picture that shows up on the 7000?...on the 7000, the picture pretty much takes up the whole screen except it shows the name at the bottom too.

I know a lot of you out there don't buy the phone for full price even though your contract is not up. Can anyone give me tips on how to convince the salesman to give me the phone at reduced price so i don't have to pay 400 bucks for this phone?..thanks

i'm pretty sure you can send a video to another video phone that is on Verizon...the 7k can so why wouldn't the 8k?

I don't know what was wrong with your 7000 because i have the 7K now and the picture takes almost the whole front screen besides the name...but on the main screen, the picture is smaller.

yeah..why is it that you can't take a picture of yourself with this phone?..holding the side camera button when the flip is closed doesn't activate the camera..

I just renewed my contract in May. And i used all of my other 2 lines in my family plan to get new phones like the 7000 and the 9900..i really really want the 8000 though. And you guys saying "work em"..if you tell them radioshack will give you a better deal, they'll just say, "then go to Radio Shack and buy it!" I've been a verizon customer since '98...they should give me a good deal even if ...

Go with the 8000 definately...megapixal camera...front display is much better...has speakerphone...no bluetooth on either one. Same menu setup as the 7000...the 7000 is thinner though...the 8000 is a pretty large phone but thats no a concern for me...i would definately choose the 8000. hope this was helpful

i know you can put a pic as the front LCD wallpaper..but can you see it?..bc the clock on the 7000 is big and blocks most of the picture..can u remove the clock?..thanks

did you try to see if the ring tones are also listed under the ringtone settings?..i'm not sure because i don't have this phone yet.

it should have under options to set as ringtones.. Also, does anyone know if the phone Vibrates and Rings at the same time..like the Lg

WOW..thats a great idea..i just replaced my 7000 for another 7000 (warrenty) bc my old one was acting up..so its brand new...i'm gonna sell it on Ebay
