I don't like being labeled as ignorant
so I'm going to clarify. I am not well educated on the living conditions of rural Jamaica and that is what I was referring to. Avaya, I doubt you live in a rural area considering that you operate a website and you host quite a few events.
That being said, I was just curious about the way of life in the Jamaican boonies. Are the conditions generally of a third-world country as it seems so cliche to assume, or ...
Ordinarily, I wouldn't take the time out of my day
to express my hatred for ignorant fools who visit my store. I won't even explain the story, because we likely have all had similar experiences as employees of the wireless industry.
What angers me is the arrogance of some ignorant customers. It's one thing to act foolishly by acting as if you know more than you do, but it's an entirely different thing to act as if you know more than I do about the industry I work in. How ...

Re: radio shack employees so i dont expect them do always know what there doing
Well, RadioShack operates a few different subsidiaries. I can tell you with absolute 100% certainty that my channel uses NSS, and NSS only. Although, other channels under the RS umbrella could operate differently, but I wouldn't know.
Verizon Data Plan Changes
I'm aware that the new tiered data plans have arrived at VZW, and I'm aware of the prices. I also see they have the pay as you go option at $1.99/MB, so my question is do smartphones still require a data package, or are they relinquishing that? It seems highly unlikely that they would remove the data requirement, but still worth asking because I haven't seen anything to disprove that to be true.
Thanks

Rich, how much longer
do we unfortunate IE6 users have left on phonescoop before you pull the plug?
Re: Secret "I'm a phonescooper" code....
You should post this in every forum. I will support it in the lounge.
WM7
is still Windows Mobile. Microsoft has proven that they have no place in mobile operating systems. Everything they've touched outside of desktops and laptops has been disastrous, including tablets and mobile phones. People often cite hardware as the cause of constant failure, although there were very capable phones that were crippled by WM's terrible code.
Android is such a massive competitor to anybody, and companies such as Microsoft should realize that handsets are going to be a money pit.
Re: Clicking on ... more info ...
Yeah, it was more of a play on words than anything of significance. I had just put up my Obamajoker gravatar at the time of that post. My post was an adaptation of "Why so serious?"
Sanyo 2700?
I assume the prices listed are the prices with contract (even a BB Tour used is worth far more than $80), so is it actually correct that the Sanyo 2700 is $50? I personally don't think that phone is even worth $50 full retail.
Re: AT&T holding back on Android?
It seems like AT&T has been slow to introduce Android. If my memory serves me correctly, they were the last of the Big 4 to introduce an Android phone, and that was the disgraceful Backflip.
Why are you so behind the game, AT&T? Your exclusive relationship with Apple is coming to an end and you're going to crumble if/when VZW gets the iPhone. Name one advantage that you have over VZW other than tiered data pricing (which can also ...
Re: Clicking on ... more info ...
Why so secretive?
Re: For iPhone
Ahhh, yet another VZW iPhone rumor...
At this point, I wish the release would actually happen, so that these damn forums aren't crowded with over-inflated egos boasting they have knowledge about it (not you specifically  )
Re: I Like buttons
I see. Thanks for the insight!
Re: This Article Shouldn't Be Here Today.
Sprint Ahead.
Cheers to a very fitting post. Sprint is responsible for so much progression in the wireless industry as you pointed out, and then some. I personally credit Sprint with reducing pricing industry-wide. They were the first to offer an 'all-you-can-eat' package with Simply Everything at such a reasonable rate. Since its debut, VZW and AT&T have both reduced their pricing structures radically to remain competitive to Sprint. Both carriers went from offering unlimited talk at $99 to $69, ...

Our own "like" or rating feature for posts is a thought. I will certainly consider it in the next forum revision.
Thanks! As far as Facebook goes, I'm confused as to how it works. If I sync my PS account with FB, what shows up on my FB account, and how do I control it? Also, do my FB posts relay onto PS?

Seems like too much manipulation. speedy36333 is cooler in my book.
Sonim
Was Sonim the company that made some sort of super phones for AT&T a while back? What was the feedback like as far as overall quality and usability of the phones?

LTE is a must if 16MP pics are going to be sent via mms.
Jeez, I bought a 7MP camera for $100...two years later it is being more than doubled by a damn phone...smh...
Re: at least 189,740 users now
Indeed. So, as to your statement last night about your lurking; what have you classified me as?
Re: For those of you who do not realize
I see that having an oppossing opinion is not tolerated in the world of phonescoop forums. I don't understand why I try to opine when time and time again my beliefs are pushed aside as irrelevant and stupid.
I guess I should stick with what is expected of me in forums.
Re: For those of you who do not realize
I did take this from Atlas Shrugged. I practically plagiarized her by writing this post, but nonetheless it's how I feel. It comes as no surprise that there is quite a bit of opposition to Rand's work.
Call me crazy, but I believe in laissez-faire capitalism.

If you ever look through the
Lounge posts for the last year, you will notice many hundreds of s/n's that are no longer in use. You of all people probably have a great grasp at how many people there are actively posting, since you troll quite a bit. 188k seems unrealistic...I'd like to get an accurate number.
Really, Rich,
where is that app? You cannot deny that an app available on Android and iPhone would be extremely popular. The ad revenue you would gain should pay for the development costs and turn you a profit quickly.
On a side note, I once asked how many registered s/n's there were for phonescoop, and speedy answered somewhere arround 188k. Was that just bs he made up or is that a legit number? Regardless, introducing a mobile app is such a ...
