I have had the D2 for 3 days now. Previously I had a Pixi Plus and Incredible. The reception and battery time on the D2 easily blows away both of those other phones. I find places where I was barely able to get calls on the other 2, I now actually have 2-3 bars and have clear calls. I use Touchdown with push and talk about 3000 minutes per month. By the end of ...

Just got one today. Was going to wait for the HTC H2 but man that thing is big. I just can't imagine carrying it around everyday. I use the phone for business and exchange functionality is important to me. I have tried the MyTouch and the Behold 2 and this phone by far has the best exchange integration. However, I noticed their is no push sync. Best is you can do is check every 15 ...

I have unlocked and used both on T-Mobile. Battery time is about the same for both. The 3125 has much better reception and works better with the bluetooth in my car. The blackjack has the keyboard for easier responding to emails. Other than that it is really just which form do you like.

Amp'd made it right and credited the account. Admitted the problem. :)

Amp'd has serious billing problems
Nov 26, 2006, 12:03 PM
in the Amp'd Mobile forum

I want to start by saying the worst part of this is that the Amp'd service is really good. Unlimited Nationwide Verizon Service for 115.00 per month can't beat. Having said that, I have received two bills now that have included double billing and pages upon pages of calls, text messages and data transfers which I did not make. I have called Amp'd numerous times and it is impossible to get a supervisor on the line. I ...

makes no sense. Unlimited Verizo service for 100 per month. Why go to Verizon. I have great service.

Re: What really is the coverage area

I noticed if you put zip codes for some areas that are gray into the Amp'd website it will state there is coverage but other areas it indicates there is no coverage. It is very confusing and it would help if someone from Amp'd could clarify.

Mine does too. If you figure out how to shut it off post it.

Hollywood vs. Jet
Aug 27, 2006, 12:09 PM
in the Amp'd Mobile forum

Short and to the Point; Jet slider function and user interface are the best part of this phone. However, the slider is not sprung and therefore is a little cumbersome to use. The keypad on the Jet is tiny. Also, if you are a professional the Jet comes with only three ringers and I would not use any of them in a professional setting and it is slim pickings on the AMP'D site to download as far ...

Have had Amp'd for almost two weeks now. I have been very pleased with the coverage in South Florida. Have driven up to Orlando and no problems on the drive or in Orlando as well.

I bought from Best Buy. They said Amp'd insurance gives you refurbished phone. I paid Best Buy for their guarantee which replaces the phone for free with new phone for two years for anything other than lost or stolen phone or obvious abuse.

Re: Motorola e815 at MetroPCS?

in the Metro forum

I hope they are right about the 6265 being tested and not the 6155 which looks just as plasticky and cheap as the 6255i. I know Metro is a no frills carrier but why would Nokia cheapen themselves by making that kind of junk?

Re: Nokia 6255i will be replaced by the 6265i slider

in the Metro forum

I am fan of Nokia phones but I thought the talk time and reception was not as good as my old 6235i; noticeably worse and the phone is too bulky to put in your pants pocket. The casing is truly cheap. Ask to make a couple of calls on one in the store. It makes cracking sounds while you talk on it. If you switch phones every couple of months you will be fine but if you ...

Don't buy the 6255i. The casing on the phone is plastic and very cheap, even the hinge. The phone scratches very easily and after 3 weeks the hinge developed a crack. Metro PCS does not stand behind it at all; claims it is physical abuse. What do you expect from a no frills carrier! Just be glad you can make calls.

I hope not. This is why I was posting. I think it was 2.99 per day and 1.99 per minute. Has anyone used this before.

No you can roam, just not on their system. If you have a tri mode phone go into network settings and change them to allow the phone to roam. I have done that and picked up a signal. A recording came on and said it was the cellular roaming network and you needed a credit card to raom. They said the cost was 2.99 per day. If this is true I am going to ...
