Sliding Keyboard Turns on Screen
May 21, 2007, 11:16 PM
in the Article: Video Tour: T-Mobile Wing forum

Just as a correction, the T-Mobile Wing is NOT the first HTC devices where the screen turns on when the keyboard is slid open. My 6700 does this "feature." Just wanted to let ya know!

confused about A960
Apr 9, 2006, 12:18 PM
in the Article: Samsung Announces Four Handsets forum

On this article, it says that the A960 will have a microSD slot as one of its features that could be used for data, music, and pictures/video. But on the CTIA report, it says it won't have a microSD slot. So which is it???? :?

I think it's interesting that if Sprint releases this phone, it will be one of the first non-EVDO MM-class phones to be released after Power Vision was released. To me, it could be a way to cut costs for new MM-class phones. It's awesome because not everyone needs the EVDO speed. I just hope LG makes a phone like the A900 or the A920 without the Power Vision (and the bugs they have).

Re: reception????

in the LG LX-350 forum

Contrary to what the OP says, I think that the old LG's reception was fine, and the new LG's reception are great! My friend's family had 4 LG 5350's and they worked well in their house. Since then, they've upgraded to 1 PM-325, and 2 PM-225. The new phones' reception are perfect! Also, these new phones have internal antennas (except the LG MM-535). In my mind, internal ones are on par or less better than their external counter-parts; they ...

OH NO! haha, i don't have ANYTHING against VoiceSignal; i LOVE VoiceSignal. When I said it was a dealbreaker, I meant that I NEED VoiceSignal (or comparable program) for my next phone. What I am against is pre-programmed Voice Dial tags. THOSE ARE THE WORST! It's like after I try programming it and everything, I'll tell it to cell "Bob cell" and it hears "Cindy home" or something like that...

No Voice Dial?
Sep 17, 2005, 11:00 PM
in the UTStarcom PPC-6700 / XV-6700 / HTC Apache forum

I'm not sure if the info for the 6700 for voice dial means if it doesn't have it, or we don't know for sure. If it does have voice dial, will is be pre-programmed tags or something like VoiceSignal, where it's speaker-independent? Does anyone know, because for me, VoiceSignal is a deal-breaker for me.

Under the Platform/OS, it says this phone has Windows Mobile for Pocket PC. Is this really a PPC? If it is, it's just another phone Verizon has that Sprint doesn't.

Mar 29, 2005, 10:40 PM

I think its a user-dependent voice dialing system, since there was no talk of that LG driving mode what-so-ever. ...but hey! let's hope LG surprises us with one anyway. :D

MM-535 AAC ringtones question
Mar 23, 2005, 2:29 AM
in the LG MM-535 forum

As many of you are disappointed (myself included) the Sanyo 5600 seems to NOT allow transfer of homemade ringtones DIRECTLY from miniSD to phone. Just wondering, but will the 535 be the same way? Or will it actually allow us transferring our own AAC ringtones to the phone via miniSD?

you just rename the file extension so before it was randomsong.mp4 change it to randomsong.m4a you may need to go to folder options in control panel to show file extensions.

wait, the SE T608 wasn't carried by Sprint? 8O . Interesting, because I thought it was carried by Sprint... Also, I'm pretty sure Sprint DOES carry a Motorola phone, the V60v, although the V60v does not have bluetooth. Does anyone know if the T608 DOES have full-funtionality with integrated bluetooth cars? It does have OBEX, but you never know...

Re: Memory card for MP3 player & camera??? :?
Jan 20, 2005, 12:21 AM
in the LG MM-535 forum

from what i've read and been told, this phone does in fact have an MP3 player, using mini-SD cards or the 20 MB of included memory on the phone. Also, i've heard that the mini-SD card is not only for MP3's. You can use it for transfering pictures, videos, and to listen MP3's. I think you can use those MP3's as ringtones as well. Now it is up to Sprint to decide to allow these transferring features. I hope ...

Voice Dialing
Jan 7, 2005, 1:31 AM
in the LG MM-535 forum

I was wondering if this phone had a user-independent voice-activated dialing program, like the VoiceSignal program on most Sprint PCS Samsung phones. Does anybody know if the MM535 will have something of that nature? I know of an LG CDMA phone that has this type of program: the LG LX5550. Does anyone know if this Voice-activated feature will be on the LG MM535? Please, I LOVE this feature. It may be the deciding factor for me to buy this phone, or ...

Re: I am torn between two phones....
Dec 21, 2004, 3:08 AM
in the LG MM-535 forum

wow, this is a really hard decision to make between the phones. I'm coming from a Toshiba VM4050, so I really would like the 5600, but slider phones are sexy and would be a fun phone. I'm guessing for me, the main breaker (assuming both phones work equally well as phones, i.e. reception...) would be price, speaker-phone (which has full and which has half-duplex), and size. Also, another thing I'd like to see is if you are able to ...

Man.....this phone has come a long way from the rumor is turned out to be. And the first picture shown was this REALLY REALLY UGLY purple phone.....that looks exactly what it looks like now, excapet it actually doesn't look half bad. This is one of the first pictures that came out for the 5600. http://www.sprintpcsinfo.com/modules .php?name=News&file=article&sid=536 Crazy how it looks almost exactly the same after all these months of being under cover...... I kind of like the design of it. For me, ...

Why doesn't Sprint have something like this???
Dec 7, 2004, 6:59 PM
in the Samsung SGH-E335 forum

I TOTALLY get the fact that this phone is GSM, while Sprint is CDMA, but why hasn't Samsung made a phone like this for CDMA?? Internal antenna, camera, speakerphone...all features needed for someone who wants a stylish phone w/ features that you can put into ur pocket. If Samsung has made one already like this......WHY DOESN'T SPRINT PICK IT UP?????

I agree. this phone looks friggin UGLY in these pics. Hopefully it will look somewhat more appealing in real life. Looks aren't a super big deal to me though. It looks INCREDIBLY pocketable, and that's where it counts IMO. Question: Is that a mirror right next to the caamera or a flash?

in the Article: Samsung Ups The Ante With 5-Megapixel Phone forum

i dont think it will take as long as you think on Sprint's vision right now, but i do agree that i would want it EV-DO capable. I'm pretty sure that it will be EV-DO if it does come out for sprint. but uploading isn't that necessary because of the memory card it uses. but unlimited photo storage is nice.

A true auto-focus lens involves a small motor or actuator to move the lens, and significant processing power to determine correct focus. I'm not aware of any phones outside of Japan with that capability. http://www1.sprintpcs.com/ex plore/PhonesAccessories/PhoneDetails.jsp?navL ocator=%7Cshop%7CphonesAccessories%7CallPhone s%7C&selectSkuId=toshibavm4050&FOLDER%3C%3Efo lder_id=1476015&CURRENT_USER%3C%3EATR_SCID=EC OMM&CURRENT_USER%3C%3EATR_PCode=None&CURRENT_ USER%3C%3EATR_cartState=group&bmUID=108577530 8190 Well the sprint pcs link above states that the Toshiba 4050 does infact have an auto-focus lens. In macro mode, it's the other way around. um, if there is a macro mode, does that mean there is no auto-focus lens. The audiovox 9950/toshiba vm4050 has an auto-focus ...

in the LG VI5225 / 5400A forum

Okay. This phone is soooo stupid in my opinion. It's a waste of a phone. It's features are outdated and are lower than the older 5350. Many people say that the 5350 had problems, but my friend's family has 3 or 4 of them (Sprint had a buy one get one free sale of them a while ago). They ALL work seamlessly, but then are just a little bulky. Comparing the older 5350 with this new VI5225, the 5350 ...

i own the VM4050. I think it's really awesome. I was debating over the A680 and the VM4050, but I chose the 4050 in the end b/c the 680 didn't come out fast enough...LOL! Anyways, this phone's pretty awesome. It gets a good signal. I have this spot in my house where I used to lose signal all the time. So far, one signal fade, but that was before I got the PRL upgrade. I'm pretty sure it doesn't have the feature where the phone's alarm goes off when it turns off. But this feature isn't found on Sprint Samsung's. My cousins have the E-105 and the E-715 and they have the feature that you like. They have T-mobile. I think that GSM Samsung's have it, but CDMA Samsung's don't. Not sure; I'm just guessing between GSM and CDMA; I know about Sprint and T-mobile Samsung's.

hey people , like the rest of you, I can't wait till it comes out in march.
