Fewest Dropped Calls My Ass
I had Verizon - Switched to AT&T for the iPhone - Love the iPhone; however, in the 5 years I was with Verizon all the calls that I had not dropped were made up by AT&T immediately after I established a 2 year service contract with them. Man, I'm telling you what...I freaking love Apple and the iPhone rules, but the earpiece and ringers are sooo quiet!!! I noticed that the earpiece is louder at first, but when you move it towards your face as soon as the proximity sensor kicks in the volume lowers as well...so, maybe this can be fixed in a software update? How long is your iPhone battery lasting?
I'm finding with doing periodic email checks, a few text messages, a few voice mails and a little screwing around I'm getting a little under a day's worth...or about 18 hours (80% of the time in standby mode)...and I'm not doing anything intensive at all. Please let me know what you're getting because I'm not too sure that this device is living up to the battery life claims that Apple recently announced. Thanks!

iPhone users across the U.S. were complaining Monday that AT&T Inc.’s wireless data network was down.
The network was down primarily in the West and Midwest, but by 7 p.m. on the East Coast, service was restored, according to Warner May, an AT&T spokesman. He said he didn’t know when the problems started.

EDGE down in Northeast Ohio
I am in Canton, OH and my iPhone (and two of my friends) could not get any data since 1pm,...still cannot and it's 6pm. I called AT&T and all EDGE network is down in ENTIRE Northeast Ohio. I'm not too happy with AT&T so far, since I came from Verizon Friday (iPhone launch Day). Awesome, but no camera
I played with it at Cingular...web pages look incredible!!! There is no camera on this phone...and to me if you have a 1,000 bells and whistles add one more to make 1,001 and add a flippin camera. Nice looking phone though overall.
WHAT AN UGLY PHONE!
I'm shocked that style concious Apple approved this phone! Motorola too for that matter...I thought they were trying to reshape their image...If I were sitting next to someone in a bar and they pulled this out, regardless of its features, I wouldn't be impressed...it has ZERO style and doesn't resemble what I would call a "cool gadget".

I ordered mine last Thursday and received it via FedEx today - I saw on this site there was a VCAST issue with the phone - When I programmed it today and spoke to the VZW rep she said the phone has been pulled and may be permanent due to the VCAST issue - She did say that the claim their website had a glitch which is why the e815 was not appearing was false. New Software on V710's...how do I...
add my own custom ringtones. The new software does NOT allow you to transfer data from the trans-flash card...you can move stuff to it, but not back. It will also NOT allow you to send files from the trans-flash...the options are not there. I tried emailing the song clips via vtext.com, but it compresses them so much they sound like crap. My buddy with an older software V710 CAN text me his ringtones, which is the only way I've ...

I have a powerbook with bluetooth...if you do this workaround can you transfer music files?
Also, I have a new V710 and the software will not allow you to move files from the trans-flash card to the phone. When you email them to the phone from yournumber@vtext.com they are compressed and sound like crap. If you know of a workaround it would be greatly appreciated.

Went into Verizon the other day to get a new phone...and I'm sick of the lousy phone selection...there are plenty of cool GSM handsets available. I know there are some network differences, but come on...how bad can they be. Looking for some thoughts here. Thanks! :wink:

I know we all hear a lot of hype regarding the release dates, but I have a credible friend that works at the Verizon in Cleveland Ohio and he said today that the V710 is now slated for August...that also means it could be pushed back to September even because it was also slated for June and July...which as we all know have come and gone.

LG VX4600 Ringtones
If you go to Xringer from the Get it Now application...there is a link called HOT ARTIST...in this link there are 10 Jimi Hendrix Realtones (not polyphonic ringtones) that are clips of the actual song...they sound AWESOME on this phone!!! I'm VERY satisfied with this phone so far...I am NOT satisfied with Verizon's cooperation in selling to it me (it took 10 attempts to get this phone).

Verizon's CDMA network is awesome! I was in Vegas last week...I was the only person that had cell phone service in the larger casinos. My buddies have Cingular and Sprint...they were using my phone non-stop since theirs were always searching for service.

Not a Motorola, but I love this phone!
This phone is great!!! Aside from the fact that it took 9 attempts before a Verizon phone agent would even sell me this phone, it looks and works great! I am a HUGE Motorola fan and have never ever thought of getting another brand of phone...but when Verizon takes 1,000 years to release a Motorola flip (710/810) I had to get this phone...besides...my v60 is clunking out on me. It's Official: Verizon has scrapped the V810 project!
The Motorola rep told me Verizon has scrapped the V810 and will push to get the 710 out by 4th Quarter 2004. In the meantime, LG is coming out with the vx7000, which is already showing in Verizon's store computer systems. The inventory clerk I spoke with said they are expecting this phone any day now.
Another Delay???
:evil: I was at Verizon the other day...and the rep I usually deal with said that he heard the V810 was delay until second quarter because Verizon had some changes requested before they would release it. He is not 100% sure, but this is the buzz going around the store...and everyone is pissed!!! I don't know about everyone else...but I am so damn sick of waiting for this stupid phone!!! by the time it comes out it's not even ...

Like many others, I am frustrated with waiting for the V810. I have seen other threads saying it will be out in April; however, I just received this from Motorola customer care. I hope that it is true because I can't take the wait any longer!
