And then talk about how easy it is. I'm not talking about downloading someone else's work either. You have to consider that most manufacturers make their own User Interface. Just because Google pushed out Gingerbread... that doesn't "Smart Life", touchwiz, or whatever their interface is called, work with the new OS. Also drivers have to be re-written/updated. Look at XP to Vista update as an example of how that can get complicated. Also "carrier" software has to be verified as working with the ...

Android is different than BB/iOS. With BB and iOS, any App sales or good/bad press is directed at the OS company. They control all the phones with that OS. With Android, Google makes the OS but it's up to the phone manufacturer to do the updates. It's sill to expect lightning fast response time to something that's basically lost money for the manufacturer. Sure, they don't want bad press BUT this is a new paradigm where phones are expected to get ...

this post wasn't meant for *YOU*. *Roll eyes* There are a lot of iPhone users that aren't pompous jerks, with their lips wrapped around Jobs junk... But there is a vocal number of iPhone users who drink the kool-aid and think the iPhone is a gift from the next Messiah. Same can be said of rabid fans of anything - Blackberry, Google, Nokia... Obama, Palin... *insert football team here*. To point out rabid Android fans, but not point out rabid iPhone fans... it's ...

The are made of MAGIC, puppies and RAINBOWS!!! Sony is OBVIOUSLY copying Apple. Get your head out out of magic land, and back into reality. Stop trying to defend OBVIOUS idea stealer's and phonies!!! ... But really... I'm not a fan of Sony. I don't buy their products because of some fairly big decisions by the company. in the Article: Apple Re-Approving Google Voice Apps forum

Android and iOS are platforms. GVoice is an app/service. This would be no different than Apple making an iTunes app for Android users to download. Or Microsoft making Office available for OSx. They'd rather you have it on Windows, obviously, but why restrict yourself and lose customers? Give users on another platform access to services. There is nothing about GVoice that is phone restricted. You can use it with dumb-phones. App just gives better/fancier service.

Stay Classy AT&T.

Why carry around a phone + FM player? I *COULD* carry a flip phone, an iPod, a laptop/tablet, a FM player, a PDA... but why? That's the whole reason to pay for a smart phone, honestly... Phone, internet, music, pda, etc... all in one device. It's the only reason I'll pay $30/month for it. Hell... some of em are almost tablets/laptops.

I never listen to CD's or radio streams... I only listen to the radio. So you are wrong. I'd also never listen to Satellite radio. It doesn't have the same ambiance. Since I don't listen to CD's, no one does... so the FCC should base their decision on my opinion. 8) just an FYI: There are plenty of people who listen to FM. I used to work at Wal-Mart. There are good people there. Don't get me wrong. The problem is... the employee's are 1) not trained. phone sales is their secondary job. 2) have no incentive. Unless things have changed, they have zero reason to do an exceptional job. No commission = no care. 3) not the brightest. While they might be "good people", they generally aren't smart or motivated. Those who are get better paying jobs elsewhere. There are smart, competent, motivated people at Wal-Mart... ...

You are with AT&T... paying $30 a month for *DATA*... and don't have a smartphone? Either you have Texting + data on a non-smart phone... or you don't know what you have. If you have a dumb-phone, tether might still be possible... but it's highly dependant on the phone, and not a good shot at success.

If you work at AT&T... then you know it *IS* possible.

Just not part of *YOUR* rulebook. I pay atleast 30 for the phone... 30 for texting and 30 for data. **** your "company line" that I have to pay another $20 after accepting an inferior service change.

*IF* you Jailbreak/root/etc. To "pay" for the "privilege" of using data you already paid for via data charges you have to accept a limited plan with AT&T. So either you pay more for less data *AND* pay to use that data outside of your phone... Or you take advantage of the system.

Every update tries to kill jailbreak / unlocks... Every update is jail broken again. Aug 1st was the release date for Jailbreakme.com. AFAIK it didn't exist before then. I'm on 4.01 and I re-jailbroke my phone with that website exploit. It's no different from other crack/fix setups - Wii, DS, XBOX, etc... people crack, company fixes, people crack again... I think the only one remotely successful atm is the PS3. Apple might be making it harder in some respects to jailbreak/unlock *BUT* they have ...

I wouldn't live without a jailbroken phone. SBSettings, MyWi, AdBlock... those three alone. http://www.iphonedownloadblog.com/2 010/03/08/sbsettings-actually-makes-your-ipho ne-better/ http://rockyourphone.com/index. php/mywi.html Then you add Installous (install "paid" apps for free, to try them *Wink*), ring tones, etc Unless you think that Daddy Jobs is needed to protect you from "unauthorized apps" that work better than stock iPhone apps... and that "protection" is a good thing. Or if you consider paying $20/month for "tethering" to use data you ALREADY over-pay for... Use *YOUR* phone the way *YOU* want too. jailbreakme.com
